Are dictionaries wrong or something? Also their is a reason you can't reference Wikipedia in essays.

    Clearly sarcasm isn't.

"asian?" was a common response to new members who would appear here raving about Yao. It was a joke. Get over your self-righteous self (and don't watch Tosh.0 or you might have a stroke).

If Jeremy Lin can make bums like Jared Jefferies, and Billy Walker servicable players, then he can at least make the Rockets rookies contribute in some way.

Seriously. In Lin's first two big game against the Nets & Jazz the MSG crowd was booing Jefferies. By the height of Linsanity, Jefferies was a valuable "glue" guy and a crowd favorite.

This is the true "magic" of Lin's game. I really don't see a reason it can't be repeated to some degree here in Houston.

    Can't wait.

But you need someone like Tyson Chandler... I hope Asik lives up to his promise. I'm glad he's a hard worker like Lin!

I agree. Tyson was really important to the team's success. However, in Lin's first start against the Jazz, they lost Melo early, didn't have Amare, and Tyson only played 22 minutes due to foul trouble.

If Asik can be a poor-man's Tyson Chandler, that should be enough for some exciting basketball this season. It may not translate to a lot of wins, but it will be fun to watch.

It's good to see a ball player who sees the same thing that I do.
Here's what David Robinson said about Lin

Here's a transcript of the Admiral:

"You know i'm on the outside looking in, but he was the most valuable guy there on the franchise! I don't even know why they'd ever want to let him go. I mean, he was the reason why I would even want to turn on the tv to even watch the Knicks, so now I wanna turn on to watch the Rockets cos you love guys who can win. who have just some kind of magic about them. There's so few guys that have that leadership characteristic... that something that je ne se quois...it's just a special thing that makes it fun to watch so hopefully he brings that to the Rockets and helps take them to another level.

Always liked David Robinson. Classy. He is also right about Lin. I cannot believe the Knocks let him go and so our GM.

I wish I could edit my posts... wanted to add: it's amazing how polarizing Jeremy is. From "most valuable guy on the franchise" to "overrated scrub."

I went back and looked at some old Knicks threads during the height of Linsanity. People were saying things like "he's the future of our franchise!" Now those same posters don't care all that much that the Knicks lost him and replaced him with Felton.

    I guess fans are fickle.

The same thing is already happening here. The regular season is going to be insane if people don't temper their expectations.
