I know what you mean. I think this off season has had more national coverage than the past three seasons (during seasons as well!) combined haha.
I don't live in Houston, so it's nice to see people actually talking about the Rockets for once. It's nice to be relevant.
I have watched Lin for quite some time now. I hope all the Rockets players get this memo: Embrace Linsanity as he can make you very rich in the process. Lin is a PG who can make his teammates better and earn you a fat contract. See the examples of Steve Novak and Landry Fields. Second, Lin can get you exposure and endorsements. The Rockets games will be at least on national TV for a couple of times. And just go ask Battier and a number of ex-Rockets about their shoe deals from China, the benefits of merely being a nice teammate of Yao. I hope unlike some Knicks players, every Rockets player can buy in the system and Lin's team oriented style of play. Embrace him as the team's leader and help each other win some games, unless you are foolish enough to say no to $$$.
Lin at Harvard where I first became intrigued with him.....oh, he goes left too. Heart of a champion, young, Asian, and rich <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tVVzGm8SbOM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Saw this cool story bro in this article (http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8182130/houston-rockets-introduce-guard-jeremy-lin-news-conference) and hadn't seen it here, search didn't turn it up -- I got a kick out it... "When Lin hit a winning 3-pointer in Toronto on Valentine's Day, owner Leslie Alexander called Morey to tersely ask him again why Lin was no longer a Rocket. "He was killing me," Morey said with a smile. "I think one of the reasons Mr. Alexander is a great owner is because we're constantly evaluating our past decisions and deciding what did we know at the time? What could we have done better? How can we improve? "People are making a lot of us admitting to our mistake. But the only way to get better is to quickly say, 'That was a mistake. How can we do better next time?' " -- It would've been funny to watch Morey have that conversation. I'm kind of leaning towards a sort of Les-as-Christopher Walken interpretation of how it went...
Why is this on ESPN...? Instead of something like this? Seriously, unless I have a conflict of interest (e.g., Rockets playing on ESPN), I am boycotting that POS network.
