Combine that with Lin's potential off-court, he's worth more than that. As they always say, it's a business.

Is it worth 5 mil for the first two years. What is that? About a million more than the Lakers are paying Steve Blake.

Its the total over three years not a single year that matters. If were paying above market for year 3, then were also playing below market his first 2 years.

Usually when you start a statement with no offense, you are actually offending someone. Also, if you are a laker fan why are you on a rockets board.

Fail. What you said shows me that you watched very little of Jeremy's games Pre and Post D'antoni firing.

Yes, Full-bird rights come after 3 years with the team. So if Lin is still with the Rockets and he's set to become a free agent again, Rockets will have the right to match whatever offer.

*Correction, not sure if Lin can become a restricted free agent again, but the Rockets will probably be able to offer him the most money while exceeding the cap. However, just like the Knicks, depending on the team salary at the time and the cap, the Rockets could face Luxury taxes.

Would you rather go for Nate Robinson/Shannon Brown as a backup PG for Lin? And Turiaf, whiteside or Jordan Hill(again). As a backup center?

Nothing wrong with opposing fans visiting our board as long as they aren't complete trolls.
