Would have preferred to keep Dragic, but Lin is young, talented, hard working, has tremendous upside, and ESPN made him a star, which is funny because ESPN would have never lavished as much attention on Lin if they had known he wasn't staying in NYC.
It's officially official now. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Welcome to Houston @<a href="https://twitter.com/JLin7">JLin7</a>! We plan to hang on this time. You will love <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%2523RedNation">#RedNation</a></p>— Daryl Morey (@dmorey) <a href="https://twitter.com/dmorey/status/225425673521606659" data-datetime="2012-07-18T03:04:03+00:00">July 18, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
dragic is more talented and more skilled than lin, but id rather have lin. we were never going to win a championship with dragic, and if we eventually acquire Dwight, then it shouldn't make much of a difference. but yea dragic is a better player, by far.
let's do it again. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IqykmzmOSV4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/18/sports/basketball/knicks-lin-rockets-offer-sheet.html The Knicks did not immediately announce their decision Tuesday night, but they conveyed their intentions to Lin sometime after 10 p.m., a person with knowledge of the conversation said.
Now, can somebody make a poll as to how long will it take for Morey before he puts Lin on the trading block together with his "assets"?
I'm still waiting for deadline to pass before I get too excited. Now morey needs to show Dwight some Chinese marketing numbers.
Maybe NBA TV can change their crawl at the bottom of the screen now - 'New York Knicks are on the clock to make a decision regarding Jeremy Lin. David Aldridge weighs in with what the Knicks should do at NBA.com/hangtime' McFly??? Hello??? lol
