Good news! Our offseason is looking better and better as each day passes. He is the first player in a long time I may be comfortable buying a jersey for, simply because I think he'll be around long enough to make it worth the money.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/18/sports/basketball/knicks-lin-rockets-offer-sheet.html The Knicks are not expected to announce their decision until this evening, and there is still a chance — albeit incredibly small — that it could be reversed. But as of 4 p.m. the decision had been made and was considered final by those with knowledge of the deliberations. Indeed, the deliberations were said to be over.
This might seem like a small victory for maury. But when the world looks back at today's events, it will be known as the day that the gm who outsmarted himself outsmarted the entire league and brought an evil empire down on its knees. a billion dollars..haha. hope this report is true.
They're waiting until tonight to announce it? They can't just do it now? That should speak volumes about how they feel about Daryl Morey. I just want to move on to Asik.
This is one of times in sports where a decision is a clear win-win for the Rockets, so I have been good with whatever happens. Lin going back to the Knicks means a franchise I hate is screwed and the Rockets have more capspace to work with. Lin going to Houston means a good point guard prospect and a little China marketing ammo to retain Howard if he is traded here.
