http://www.theonion.com/articles/jeremy-lins-departure-teaches-knicks-fans-importan,28810/ Pretty funny Onion article about Lin leaving the Knicks
Wow, I still can't believe they don't match. It's official until after midnight tonight, nyt can be wrong too.
Because the option to leave him rep is no longer there. He got busted for having multiple user accounts. Check thread here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=222923
Beck has reconfirmed that for now, Knicks do not intend to switch. And honestly, there's no reason to. They're going to go through this crap just to make a few Rockets fan upset?
Not sure if posted already. Hollinger RT Beck. johnhollinger John Hollinger RT @HowardBeckNYT: Brief Lin update: Since posting story, I've been assured again that this decision is not going to be reversed.
Why would a multibillionaire like Dolan want to go out of his way to upset a few Rockets fans? This simply doesn't make any sense. I fear that NY is going to match and they are just making a dramatic entrance.
Still not quite ready to celebrate... but I'm getting there. Seems as good of a confirmation as we'll get before it's coming straight from the organization. Been reading that Lin's been putting in the work this summer. Could we see a similar jump in ability that was seen b/w his 1st and 2nd year? Personally, I think so. 1000 jumpers a day, and some work on going left/ his general pacing and we have ourselves a legitimate all-star (as in he's worthy with or without the Asian vote).
The NYT could easily save face and just print another story tomorrow about how the Knicks "miraculously changed their minds" and how Dolan the "savior of Knicks fans everywhere" swooped in and saved the day.
That was hilarious... yet couldn't be more true. Dolan picked the worst time to begin his fiscal prudence.
The NYT isn't in the business of catering to fans. It's arguably the most respected news organization in the world. Nothing is done until it's done, but this is pretty credible.
