Knicks will make it official like when they declined offer on Landry Fields, they announced before dinner time. I expect the same, they don't play childish games like the Knicks not getting the offer from the Rockets. It is because they didn't care and they were dealing with Felton, apparently like we were dealing with Magic before Lin signed.
on Jeremy Lin.. really thats a BIG move in your eyes We just lost 2 PG's that we were miles better than he was
A word to the nailbiters: 1) Whoever leaked to Beck et al was clearly involved, or regularly in touch with, the Knicks' deliberations. If the Knicks were thinking of changing their minds, they would be deliberating more, not less. They would certainly not be cutting people out of the discussions and concealing from them that the discussions were continuing with a smaller group. 2) The caveat that things could still change probably just means that the source isn't Dolan himself, so yes, theoretically, Dolan could do something that surprised the person or people in the organization who were involved in the now-ceased deliberations. It's just standard reporter CYA, with no basis given for expecting a change of course. The only thing that has changed since 4 p.m. is Knicks fans going ballistic over this. And while that could theoretically change Dolan's mind, that's extremely unlikely, since they were already going ballistic over the possibility of losing Lin.
Knicks Fans: (Not really, lol). <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Sodoiq8aWCE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nothing matters until it's official. They can toy with us. I don't see it happening but lets wait till it's 100% official.
Oh, I completely agree. But Morey has stated countless times he is able to go over the tax. I have every thought of assurance that if we have stars, les will go to the 100m mark and not blink twice. I don't think the Chinese market (which we still are #1 in w or w/o Yao or Lin on the team) would make Morey pay more for mediocre players if we didn't have stars, no do I think it would have influence if we did. Personally, I want a pass first PG (or Royce White) because I want the ball released to the basket from the hands of Lamb, Motie or Dwight, and not Jeremy Lin. Again, if Lin gets Dwight to stay (Via Chinese marketing, and not star status), then this move is great, simply great. If not....
Their record before Lin played was 8 wins 15 losses in a NBA shorten season. Then Amare missed games due to a death in his family and Melo missed 9 games due to a groin injury. Without Lin they were probably going to be 10 wins 22 losses by the time Melo came back
I'm obviously going to be a huge Lin supporter. Folks that are anti-Lin will only be pursuaded by his play on the court, which is fine. But let me start with this. For all the people that don't want Howard b/c of his lack of character, Lin has character in spades. He works hard, gives teammates credit, and by all indications is a great guy. His character appears to fall in line with Battier, Yao, Chuck Wagon, Dream -- work hard, play hard, be classy. If you spent any time watching his post game interviews during Linsanity, you can see the guy is all class. He's a goofy dude a lot of times, but a classy guy.
