I'm surprised. I thought he was well into his decline, but he's looked feisty, and definitely benefitting the Clips right now. Playing at an all-star level. The usual suspects have retreated from "he's done" back to "well, but playoffs," so that's a relative PR victory for James, LOL.
I support our forgotten Prince Harden. I will be Harden's last fan regardless of his team. I hope Harden wins a ring and FMVP this year to cement his legacy. One ring puts Harden above Curry, the fraud.
The BOTTOM LINE for James is he HAS to get it done in the playoffs. NOTHING ELSE matters now! Maybe being on this team with a good coach and other star two-way players can finally help him get over that hump. He doesn't have to be 'the man' on this team, but there will come games in the playoffs where he will have to show up and do it in order for them to win. Just too many instances where he was awful in those playoff moments for people to give him praise right now, so he has to get it done come playoff time. He is still a very good player, no doubt about that. The basketball world will be watching...
The real PR victory is that people have forgotten about him as the Primadonna that cried like a baby and called Morey publicly a liar......
JFC the offensive net rating over that stretch - which I'm too busy to lookup at this moment - must be insanity! 2 high usage offensive players putting up those stats on that efficiency my default expectation is already for something parabolic.
Harden has had a lot of bad games in the playoffs no doubt. Overall he’s played alright, obviously not great. With Kawhi and PG, a lot of pressure will be taken off his back, since both of them are amazing playoff performers, especially Kawhi.
no james harden team has been below a 4 seed in how many years ? it won't stop this year if this team remains healthy.
Russ kinda saved the clippers from total disaster last post season and his self benching prob saved the team this season. The pot is def slow cookin for playoff drama,
I mean Harden performing well in the regular season is a given, I think he is the regular season GOAT at this point. Problem is with his character, the winning they are having RN and the fact that he is LA which is club heaven I'm not sure if his play will sustain in the playoffs. Honestly I'll be surprised if it does. But then again it might not matter if they have healthy Kawhi and PG.
Ka-why and PG-13 games played will both be done for the year by March, Harden will lead them to an upset 1st round victory, then once expectations return he'll bow out after winning 6 playoff games total, at most.
