Because most think one of them will be relegated to a bench role eventually. And several LA folks think that guy should be Harden, not Russ.
Clippers have already adopted James Harden's identity offensively, and they're far, far worse off for it https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...ensively-and-theyre-far-far-worse-off-for-it/
I'd give it a few more weeks before making fun of James. We all are aware of his playoff failures, but I do remember that he usually started the season a little slow (although this one he definitely seems ages behind). New players, trying to implement the James system, it's going to take a few weeks. I'm sure a 1.5 months from now, things won't look as bad, although I don't expect the Clippers to compete for a championship either. The personnel just doesn't make any sense.
Sad to see Harden taking this path. From carrying Houston for many years while facing star teams in the playoffs to taking the same path himself while failing miserably. He should never have requested the trade from the Nets, that team almost beat the champs Bucks without Kyrie and an injured Harden.
remember this is the same guy that half this forum was crucifying anyone over for criticizing. People here were so stupid and delusional that they pulled r****ded avanced stats out to convince us james should ball stop and iso every play Cancer then and cancer now. Attitude makes all the difference in the world
Selective memory? We had playoff success. We didn't win a championship but were successful in the playoffs. Should we have had more variety in our offense? Sure. But the Anti-Harden crowd acts as if Harden's style of play did not bring any success to this franchise. Championship or bust is a ridiculous standard. Sure, James will be looked at differently because he never won a championship and he delivered some really embarrassing performances during big games, but he will still be a top player of all time.
I'm not even going to respond to your trying to use the playoffs. Year after year we saw the same disappearing...and I believe the biggest choker in NBA history. It was an exciting time to be good again, don't get me wrong and as a pure entertainment perspective which you could argue thats all the NBA is...yes he succeeded Your selective memory is glaring too. For years despite cancerous runs including sabotaging the team and not showing up to practice and fat, everyone that criticized this career loser was demonized. There has been a classic pattern dictating his play of the last 6-7 years that continued to be excused by them. It takes a lot to look at consistent evidence compiled over multiple years, over multiple teams and go "weLl idK"
