the problem with harden is his style of play forces everyone around him to conform. he will never try to be off ball again. if he is off ball its so lazy and annoying.
Man watching harden on defense letting players blow by him is pretty bad. I don’t miss it at all and glad we didn’t sign him , best off-season move we’ve made.
And in the meanwhile, the SIxers are unbeaten after their opening loss. Embiid with 48. Yes, the logical solution would be Westbrook as 6th man, bringing energy from the bench, while Harden is the better facilitator (like he did with the ixers). Problem: Don't think Russ would like that. And Harden also don't want to be leashed again. Did Harden really defer to Russ while in Houston? With his physical decline, he sooner or later must realize he no longer can be THE SYSTEM anyway.

As laid out erlier, he does not even need to, just do not play Harden heavy minutes.....use him sporadically.
