I don't get why anyone would still want to hate on Jalen Green after reading that article in the Players Tribune.

    But apparently many still do.

Unless you're a mega high level insider with secret knowledge like Roosh - seems like he is a pretty gracious guy who has matured a bit in the last 4 years and is not vengeful or spiteful in the least.

We tend to forget at the end of the day these guys are people and not just plus minus numbers

Because who they are as people is irrelevant, he is a draft bust.

    To quote Glengarry Glen Ross

Nice guy? I don't give a ****. Good father? **** you, go home and play with your kids. You wanna work here, close.

Jalen isn't getting any coffee. Simple as that.

Jalen's a good kid and wish him nothing but the best. Sucks that he didn't pan out with us. He was at least realistic by saying he is probably going to drop 30 on us since he is not getting more than that with our defense lol

I wish nothing but the best for Jalen. Great kid. He will figure it out in Phoenix. I have a feeling he will be back.

The playoffs were bad, but Jalen has always been a class act to the fans. Wish he played better, I really rooted hard for him. But that's the way the cookie crumbles, and even he says he would've made the KD trade, so there's that.

I do hope he pans out and at least becomes an all-star. I 100% get why other Rockets fans might have strong negative feelings towards him, but it's hard for me to think badly of him.

He's not scoring 30 on us though. Hell naw

This is interesting. I actually always thought he'd have way more advantages against PG's (he can jump over half of them tbh) but he didn't seem to have the eye for the easy assists that is just bread and butter for a drive-first PG (I played PG myself in my youth and wasn't a great shooter outside of 15ft so I spent more time kicking the ball out on a drive than anything else - and Jalen never seems to see that basic pass.) I'll be curious to see whether it improves or decreases his production/effectiveness.

This actually mirrors a lot of my feelings. I have no ill will towards him at all, I just couldn't root for him any more because he let me down too many times. As a person he seems like a good egg, but I'm just not convinced in the player, even though I can clearly see the superstar potential/attributes (and yes, I said superstar, his "on" games are still top 5 level in terms of the numbers, he just didn't have enough of them, and had way too many completely off games) that suggested that might have been possible at some point.

I don't hate Jalen. I was against trading him through 3 seasons. I knew season 4 was his last chance to prove himself here or move on. So I moved on after another roller coaster ride and a really bad playoffs.

If we didn't have interest invested in the Suns' down fall, I would wish him well.

I think our young core, maybe with the exception of Cam, are good teammates. They seem to genuinely like each other and have each other's back.

I don't believe that Harden asked for Paul to be traded if that's what you're saying. That was one weak rumor, and even Chris Paul said he and Harden had no beef and got along well enough. It seems abundantly clear to me that Fertits wanted Worstbrick just to shake things up and because he thought he had more star power than Paul to sell tickets/get views. And supposedly he was worried about Paul's health, too.

As for Kyrie, that guy's been batsh!t nuts for a while, who knows what happened. And whatever happened, it's not really indicative of anything other than Kyrie's current flavor of madness.

Do you really think he'd come back with the **** our fanbase said around him over the years? I just don't see it. If he does break out (which I think is unlikely) and fully become consistent to hit that league-leader in scoring potential, I think we're probably the last team who's going to be able to reap the benefits. It is what it is.

Ahhh yeah I’m probably misremembering that one. I’ve slept since then lol
That one was a joke, the Doncic trade was whack.

I really can’t remember the last teammate beef though.

It will be great to see the matchup between Amen and JG when the Suns play us. I remember in one of the reel's Amen was giving props to Jalen as the best player on the team, but he added a little side comment along the lines of "Jalen wouldnt be the best though if I was guarding him".

I'm sure Amen has the matchup pencilled in.

I may be too low on Paolo, but that's a lot of missed mid-range FGAs for just half a season.

Early in my career I worked for a company that was similar to the Silas led Rockets. We were young but for the most part just hard working guys and girls trying to make a difference. People talked smack online and ripped us relentlessly on forums like this. We read almost every post. Eventually I moved on to different company’s and worked on my self and craft.

Exactly a decade later I returned to lead that same company to be amongst the most profitable and successful in the nation. I brought back a lot of the old crew but now we were more mature and polished and the results showed.

I never forgot the crap people said and made sure the team was always cognizant of how people perceived us. To this day I still get a little upset when I think about some of the comments but I can’t help but smile every time I look at what I’ve been able to achieve. There are redemption stories everywhere. I hope Jalen gets to write his.
