As a subculture that’s cool, but that would be a terrible name and represent a small portion of the city.
Something space themed like what were actually known for should have been it

Not sure what that is referring to but not saying it is not a viable choice. I see your reason for representing the city of Houston, never thought of it that way, but I think Houston is the best part of Texas. The epitome of being a Texan. Lol

I figured 44s was referring to rims , so I thought tippin had something to do with cars. Thanks for the lesson, don’t think I got to crunk, but I enjoyed the song

Happy for the team and the coach, they looked much better then I expected, with that said the Jags suck sooooo........my college team is the Huskers and were good at beating the likes of Fordham and Buffalo, but they take on OU next week and I am expecting a beat down  but who knows......I think the real test for the Texans come next week, kind of excited to see how they do......I want them to do well, but lets not start winning to much and lose that top pick :D

They were good enough to get me interested for week 2. Culley seems like a nice dude and Caserio seems competent as a GM. It doesn’t look like there’s enough talent to stop a tank but credit where it’s due after week 1.

I’m happy the team played well. They looked solid and well coached. You have to handle your business no matter who you’re playing, so I won’t say rookie QB and bad team yadda, yadda, yadda.

Still, I’m expecting crash and burn next week. If they have a good showing against the Browns I think I’ll be more surprised than a win against the Jags.

So did we lose any Doom and Gloomers after game 1?

Honestly I wasnt too surprised. I thought JAX with a rookie coach and QB would struggle. What did raise my eyes was the play from Tyrod Taylor and the offense in general. Clean and efficient. OL was solid and Ingram brings a little nasty to the run game. I was entertained.

Defense did what you needed. Confuse the young kid and make some plays.

Fun win. Hopefully these guys remain competitive against the better teams. They look well coached so I give Culley that.

Texans looked like a 500 team yesterday. Dare we dream of a 9-7 team?

It feels really good to see the team not come out and embarrass themselves after the BOB era beat all expectations of competence out of us.

The bar is legit on the floor.

We're still looking at a 5 or 6 win season, but it would be truly wonderful if this team was alive for a playoff berth at Thanksgiving, or if we dare to dream, Christmas.

I've been saying for a while...this isn't a great team obviously...but it's nowhere near as bad as pundits and the fan base thought it was. I'm not remotely suggesting this makes them good...I'm saying, they're not the worst team in the league, which seemed to be the opinion of virtually everyone willing to share an opinion.

They have a bunch of guys on 1 and 2 year deals who are playing for their careers. They have a coach they clearly all love who has built a sense of chemistry and an "us against them" mentality in that locker room. They're not going to quit, and that goes a long way in pro sports. And they're going to be well prepared.

Beyond that, yesterday was just fun. I had zero expectations about this being a great team, so I couldn't really be disappointed. But I personally love a team like this.
