Wow, a coach that’s not a complete idiot, what a concept.

Just caught up on highlights, and after week 1 the Texans look like the class of the AFC south. The colts and Titans looked horrible, especially the Titans, that was not good. Winning doesn’t benefit the Texans in the long run but they can’t help it if the division is also terrible

This Culley guy seems really nice. so nice you don't want to let him down. Wonder what he's like when he is angry.

What happens if we somehow beat the Browns next week?

You know, this franchise is easy to dislike, but Culley isn’t. Happy for him. It’s probably not going to be this easy the rest of the way, but at least he finally got a chance and won a game as a head coach in the NFL. That’s forever. Good for him!

Players seem to genuinely like the guy. They play hard for him. They likely practice hard as well.

Effort at practice leads to better execution which leads to better performance in games. Ultimately they don’t have the talent or depth to last an entire season… but they’ll probably be as close-knit a team as there can be, which like I said earlier is fairly easy to root for.

went to the game, Jags helped a lot, first quarter I think they only ran the ball twice and threw the rest (4 yards rushing 1st qtr). If your going to be one dimensional thats ok but the Texans didn't look like they could stop the run game. I guess Urban Meyer wanted to run by passing?? Lawrence passing was not sharp at times but it's hard to stop and catch a ball behind you a bit (still catchable at this level). One score was a gift since there was a roughing the passer and gave them a second chance. Texans defense is a bit shaky on the pass rush and coverage. Offense looked fine but Taylor did make some great moves to avoid sacks...my two cents.

after the loss to the Chiefs (way before extension) he basically said Bill was the best.

absolutely it was lip service… but that’s part of the point. Lip service or real.. that’s not someone I want involved in my hiring process.

also increasingly there were other players like JJ that certainly didn’t praise Bill.

Lawrence needs to learn touch. Was throwing everything too hard and too high the entire game.

So its looks like its been answered but here is my reason, yes we are Texans but Houston's football team should represent this city 1st and the state 2nd... And while in a way its cool that typically teams chose strong/ferocious animals or things we as Texans are not to be messed with. But I would have liked to have something that represents just Houston, like The 4 4's... Still tippin on 4-4's.. Wrapped In Four Voes
Tippin' On Four Fours, Wrapped In Four Voes...
