The knee-jerk in here is arguably worse than the GARM

Yeah hopefully the D was embarrassed enough there to get it going.

it's the same thing every week. if the Texans aren't winning by 17 after the first quarter, all hell breaks loose.

If they were playing an average or mediocre team, I'd agree. But this is the Jacksonville Jaguars who are 1-8 playing at Reliant. It's not necessarily about the W, I'm not worried about the W. It's the performance. These are the kinds of teams you fine tune your offense and defense against.

This game isn't over, but I'm thinking you're counting this one as bad game by or defense. That's 1. Green bay game. That's 2. Denver game? that's 3.

So 3 bad games by our defense and we are overrated and inconsistent?

While i know losing a quarter happens to good teams, I think the sudden unexpected fear put into us so soon to the worst team in the NFL is a little worrisome.

While this does happen occasionally, it isn't supposed to happen.

Attaboy Thor! Now would be a great time to test out anyone but Bradie James.

Don't know why they weren't running it more earlier...granted Schaub's throws that missed were VERY close

Now for the defense to wake up

Reading some of the trash knee jerk reactions on here is ridiculous. The game is tied. Jax got a few lucky plays. Adjustments will be made. It isn't like we are down 30-3 or something.

Offense woke up, Martin gave them a spark on the return.

Now the D needs a 3 and out or TO.

Think we've been trying a knockout blow every play when we can simply wear the Jax team out.

I'm glad the Texans were down early. This teams needs to be tested week in and week out.

Need to start bringing more pressure. Front 4 aren't getting close to the QB right now.

This defense relies on one thing more than anything else. Pressure on the QB, mainly from the D-Line. If that doesn't happen, the secondary is suspect to stop something. I want to believe that we have the best defense in the league, but we don't. And games like these pretty much bring out a knee-jerk reaction because I hold them to such a high standard, especially against teams like Jacksonville and Buffalo who don't really have good offenses.

The Packers don't really have a great defense. Never believed that they ever did.

Look. People have been knee-jerk but the Texans look underwhelming and definitely deserve some criticism. That's what this thread is for.

Sharpton looks great. We might have a good Cushing replacement. He plays with reckless abandon though so I can see him getting hurt
