Jay_Glazer Last friday I reported MJD out for sunday's game. Now reporting Jones' knee hasn't improved and barring miraculous turnaround OUT sunday.
AJ plays. Mario gets a special exemption from Goodell to come off of IR and play Sunday. Demeco has a miraculous last minute recovery. Cushing starts juicing . . . I mean "overtraining" again. Kareem Jackson finally "gets it" and has his best game of the season.
Trent Edwards has a 300 yard 3 TD game only to throw a pick 6 to Kareem Jackson on the last play of the game. Final Score Texans 30 Jaguars 29 Oh and all of the underdog teams win meaning we would have gotten the #2 pick but instead pick another Okoye while Patrick Peterson goes on to be a HOF CB for the Broncos.
I'm actually looking forward to this game for everything but the actual game. how many people are going to show up? How many people will wear bags? what kind of signs will they how on tv? This is way more interesting than last weekends game whom I already forgot who they played though I know they lost...
(Hypothetical) So if the game is down to 2 minutes left and we are down by 5 and Schaub leads us downfield, are you hoping we win the game or blow it? Personally, I would want to see us lose.. But I think it's just the die-hard fan in me to see Schaub lead us to that touchdown to win the game..
Any Texans players reading this to amuse themselves and pass the time,...: Please 1/2 assit...please.
I think what's really sad is that you guys just assume that Peterson will be our pick if we get into the top five. It's rarely who we think it's going (or want it) to be...
There are two lights out CBs and two stout DTs out there. Lose and pick #6, and you've got an outstanding opportunity to select one still on the board. Win and get #13....you run a very real risk of all 4 being gone. If the Texans blow the pick at #6 and pass on a great player at a need position...nothing we can do. I can see there being pressure not to draft a CB #1 since they're under so much fire for starting Jackson this year, faulty as the logic may be. But to win a pointless game at the end of a lost season and rob themselves of immediate help for this beleaguered defense....ugh.
This. Just because Creamed Jackson has failed to live up to expectations of being a decent corner, dosen't mean you pass up one of the best prospects in recent memory. It would be like Carolina passing on luck just because they drafted Clausen last year.
Eh, I've resigned to the fact that the Texans are going to win this game. Honestly, I'm over it bothering me too. Getting a higher draft pick is only a small portion of what it's going to take to turn this defense around. Winning is a culture, and no matter HOW talented the guys you bring in are, they won't just automatically KNOW how to win in the NFL. There's a reason why the same teams a perennially amongst the dredges of the league. In theory, they should be chock-full of talent since they are always drafting high. It's more about what you DO with that talent in terms of coaching and veteran leadership. That's the stuff that pays dividends, and that's the stuff this franchise has ALWAYS lacked.
**** it.. let's two minute drill the whole game and get AJ some yards if he's playing. If it worked against the Ravens.. it should work against the Jaguars. Not saying we should win.. Kubiak can get behind big early , come back, only to give it up at the very end with a pick 6 if he wants to make it more realistic. I'm kinda torn though.. do we really want to help Indy make the playoffs? If I had to choose.. it wouldn't be them probably.
Looks like most of the Jags offense is out lol. Sadly, a part of me wants Trent Edwards and Rashad Jennings to roll the Texans...
