Well, ...positives of the season?.. obviously the Juggernaut, er,..I mean Arian Foster... 1616 rushing, 18TD...at 5 ypc Only the 6th player ever to gain 1500, and 600 rush/receiving combo. Should be in the top 3 for MVP voting. . . besides MJD, who else saw this coming?
After they showed that graphic, he reached 1,600 rushing yards on the season. I wonder if the 1600/600 club is more exclusive.
I feel sorry for Foster and AJ ... amazing players on a pathetic team! Kub and his staff need to go, they are wasting their talent!
Schaub with back to back 4,000+ yard seasons. One of few players to put up that many yards in back to back years. Foster owes a lot of his season to the offense that has seemed to have been perfectly built for him. Not all of it, but a good chunk. Derrick Ward may have put up monster numbers for the entire year behind this line... not Foster numbers, but likely career highs for him.
That is the ONE thing Kubiak & Co did that impressed me this year. Last year, we were almost dead last in the run... they said they were going to fix that, and boom... they did... in spades. Too bad everything else fell to crap while they were fine tuning the running game.
They also fixed the red zone struggles.... which were in large part due to the improved running game. The offense struggled without OD being at full strength. Honestly, he's the second most valuable WR we've got. Walter and Jacoby could be cast-offs or replaced, and the passing game would still be fine with OD, AJ and Foster. That being said, Schaub still had a respectable year... Kubiak also accomplished "developing a QB" in his tenure here as well... another goal of his.
