this is true, but the problem I have with the call is the ref had no better view of that play than you or I did. It wasn't a fumble. It should not have been called a fumble.
No its not. If you think your rule says that, you are mistaken. I don't even know why this is a big deal... the extra timeout wasn't going to win this game. The opportunity for the TD was there, and they failed. The opportunity to win this game easily was there all day... and the defense couldn't stop anything. They deserved to lose... no matter how it happened.
Same ol Texans? We lost to a good jets team. Barely beat a bad Titans team, and now lost to a pretty awful Jaguars team. Oakland next week. A 1-3 start would be horrendous.
So you are saying ....it starts at 1:59 and under? I can see where you would think that.....I think it starts at 2:00 and under. Maybe it will be defined in the presser afterwards...but at least you and I did not call each other a crap name out of frustration with our team. DD
Actually, it IS defined by when the play starts. If a play starts at 2:02 and ends at 1:55, then it requires a coaches' challenge.
well, I won't argue that, I'm sure we blitz more than 3 times a game, it just doesn't feel like it because our blitzes rarely penetrate. it's not about high paid guys, texans defense seem to have a nose for the ball and great speed, it's just those huge plays that always happen and always cost us.
My sympathies to posters here that are emotionally invested in the Texans. Rockets training camp starts this week though, so cheer up.
I'll say it again, you misunderstand "in" and "at". Also, since you decided to be condescending: Thanks.
Blaming this loss on the refs and the PI call is just ignoring the obvious. Even if they don't call the PI and the texans tie it up, Jaguars would have chance to march down and get a FG to win in regulation. Either way, with the game on the line, Texans choke again. This team isn't anywhere near ready to compete in the league.
The two minute warning happens when the last play ends on or after the 2:00 minute mark. If a play starts at 2:01 and ends at 1:57 then the 2 minute warning happens at 1:57. The instant replay occurs INSIDE the 2 minute warning, ie starting with the next play after the 2 minute warning has been issued. The actual time on the clock doesn't really matter.
