Um, the Texans didn't run for 156 yards on the Ravens. The Jags were very fortunate the Ravens shut down Ray Rice for them.
Good memory! Ah yes, those Oiler memories, most of them not very good, especially Jerry Glanville. When I think what Houston fans have suffered through, well it makes me both mad and sad. That is why I have no patience left for any nonsense whatsoever. If the Texans went undefeated for five straight seasons and won five consecutive SuperBowls I still wouldn't feel compensated for what I have been through with Houston professional (and semi-professional) football. Maybe ten.
Slow down there, Coach Lombardi. Apply a similar "killer attitude" in your own life and you wouldn't have time to whine so much on the internet. Nobody is discouraging you from speaking your mind. You are being mocked for the contents of your rant.
Definitely a slow game at the start. The Jags defense is more than solid and they have played most teams close all year so it shouldnt have been and isn't a surprise that they gave the Texans some problems. Schaub's fumble hurt and Tate's was especially costly. I've seen some say Tate has fumblitis but I wouldnt go that far. He just didn't expect the play from behind, much like Schaub. Both just thought they had more space than they did. Kubes challenged plays...well they both were close but he and the booth need to understand the "conclusive" idea. Neither one of those were clearly debunked, hence you don't need to challenge. The tate fumble I could understand the gamble because it was basically a game clincher. Walter's catch wasn't as critical at that point in the game. It is hilarious to read through the thread and how certain posters seem to feel the need to voice their opinions after a bad play or during a down stretch of the game but yet, as soon as the game turns to a positive direction for the texans it's crickets. 5-3 and 3-0 in the conference. One road win on the biggest threat so far in the Titans, with a home game at the end of the year.
Agreed. I'm happy with where they are, even the best of teams struggle at times. And the jaguars are no push over defensively.
Seriously, have the Texans ever been 3-0 in conference?? That, for me, is the single most encouraging thing from this year yet.
It's just too bad that the loss to the raiders eliminated us from playoff contention. Same ol' Texans.
I'm going to stay negative. That way, when they make the playoffs and advance, I will be pleasantly surprised. And if they fall flat on their face the rest of the season, I wouldn't have had my hopes up these past few years. With that said, they could have done better! We are lucky we played against at Rookie QB! Gerrard would have lit us up!
just like Big Ben lit us up? the only QB that has toasted us is Drew Brees and we're halfway thru the season. if this was last year, there would have been 6 300 yard passers already.

My statement is still true. What does this have to do with TD celebrations? The defense played with intensity the whole game as I stated earlier. Some of you are so desperate to score a "gotcha." Enjoyed the pics though.
Explain how the offense "lacked intensity." What does that even mean? Be specific. Does it mean we didn't run the ball effectively? Because we racked up 156 yards on the ground (4.0 ypc) on a pretty solid defense. We even got in J-ville's heads with them claiming we played dirty. Look, I'm not saying we don't still have some problems to overcome and we're going to end up 13-3 winning the Superbowl. Just trying to get some of you fans still pissed about last year to stop and smell the roses every once in a while. Like after a 3rd straight division win.
after the Tate fumble and subsequent Jags TD, the offense did exactly what it needed to do to finish. they ate up clock, marched down the field, and kicked the game clinching FG. that's not enough though. apparently, if you're not winning by 30 every game it's a lack of intensity and we shouldn't give credit to the opponent's defense.
The offense lacks leadership, they have talent but they need a guy to follow out there that gets them motivated to play, maybe AJ is that guy and him being out is hurting their overall motivation? DD
Heart, leadership, fieriness, and intensitiness. Those are the only things you need to win in this league. Look at Time Tebow and Vince Young.
