I doubt he did. I think the official scorer wanted to keep Correa's errorless streak alive. Looks like he had the guy at first if the ball doesn't fall out of his glove. It would have been a nice play, but one I think he should have made.
Along with having a 30+ run lead in the run differential race (40+ if you compare them to the NL). I'm back to just rooting for health. They're going to win enough games (if healthy) regardless if its hot/cold offense, just all-world starting pitching, and a bullpen that is still trying to find itself (although, the roles are starting to become more clear).
Just for future reference: Dumbass Cove is the 3B/LF recessed area Dipsh!t Alley is down the line in RF
No... but its as good a sign as any that a team will eventually qualify to play for the trophy after 162... And at that point, all you have to do is go 11-7... and yes, you get a trophy for that.
Couple thoughts: 1. Kemp has a real opportunity to revitalize this team. If he can get on base at a good clip from the 8/9 slot...oh man. Our team is lethal when our lineup is turning over. We'll see if Kemp can be that spark. I hope he stays on. He can slot everyone back in their role which should end this sludgy funk our offense has been in. 2. Fans are physically allowed to stop bozos from touching live plays, right? What a joke. Obviously it's hard to stop someone in real time, but that can't happen. 3. Hinchs' comments today were incredible. Hope people take the time to read what he says. We need to take action as a country, politics aside. https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/1546554
Very glad Morton got the W. He exited only eligible if the Stros scored again in the 7th.... then, they scored in 7th. Then, they held the lead. Yankees and Sox lose !!!
In a world where folks are enamored with spin rates, launch angles, BABIP, and pitch framing... I’ll take plain ol run differential as a sign of “good” every single time.
Did Point-Diff mistreat you or what ? Serious question You have never trophy-replied "6th Runs Scored" comments ? It was obvious the offense struggled overall, yet you weren't petty with "trophy" BS. Dominance ( Point/Run Diff ) clearly tends to dominate. You can find Exceptions, but the Rule stands overall. The last four WS participants were 1 or 2 in their league, mostly #1, and '16 Rangers lucky one-run selves could barely win a playoff game. You're not seeing straight, so... Did Run-Diff hurt your feelings ? Serious question Worse case scenario.. you should, at least, like stats ( point-diff ) . Doing so, tends to be masculine.
