I agree If we go kick the Rangers ass this weekend we will see over reaction the other way Just how it is lol
I think its worth giving it a shot if the heart of the lineup continues its 0-fer whatever in games. Valbuena isn't known for striking out as much, I feel like he should come around quickly. Carter-Gattis wiffing will be something to get used to--but I like breaking them up with Carter-Castro-Gattis or Carter-Valbuena-Gattis then Castro-Rasmus-Marisnick
Yea, Gattis was terrible. But so was everyone else not named George or Jed. A Team BA of 0.096 through the first series is beyond terrible really. Way too early to panic though.
New lineup vs. the lefty today 2B Jose Altuve (R) RF George Springer (R) SS Jed Lowrie (S) 1B Chris Carter (R) DH Evan Gattis (R) 3B Jonathan Villar (S) C Jason Castro (L) LF Robbie Grossman (S) CF Jake Marisnick (R) HOU: Collin McHugh (R) (0-0, 0.00)
Derek Holland has the 3rd longest active streak of IP (50 2/3) without allowing a HR . Kelvin Herrera 97, Wade Davis 84 and Astros disappointment Jesse Crain is 4th with 48 1/3. The insufferable Rangers pre-game show is chock full of useful info.
