Astros pitching looks great through the first two games. Offense, not so much.

Is there any other? Who else should bat 3rd?

Its not like Springer is batting 8th... he's batting 2nd, which gives him more AB's per game and multiple chances to drive in Altuve, who's in front of him.

Sure, Valbuena can't be horrific or Matt Dominguez-bad... but they don't expect him to be.

Or is it: "Cleveland's pitching looks great through the first two games. Offense, not so much."

Some might argue Carter at 3rd.

Did I see that stat correctly, Castro hitting .201 against lefties for his career?

You could also argue Gattis... but none of them are significantly better than the other... and they all have the potential to hit HR's.

Well, he is a lefty... and Castro has had a mediocre BA in almost every season he's played, so yeah.

I realize Castro can't hit, but didn't realize he was hovering around the Mendoza line against lefties.

He's a .243 hitter for his career.... that sort of split, at that low of an average, is not unheard of.

The city of Houston is such a job hub, every game Ive been to always has a fair amount of visiting team fans. When we were in the NL, the amount of cubs fans was disgusting. Now that we are in the AL, the amount of bandwagon red sox and yankees fan is even more than disgusting.

Welp.... So much for crushing out of the gate like Keuchel wanted us to..

What's with the "don't swing and take 2 strikes" approach in the 9th?
