Donnie Nelson was on espn radio here in Dallas and said Parsons could miss game one.

The team seems to be clicking at the right time. Most importantly, Dwight looks great. That's huge. If he can give us 30 minutes a game? Wow. Parsons is banged up, which doesn't hurt us. Ellis and Nitwitski will be a handful. Our defense will be key. We have to consistently play at a high level. If we do and stay healthy, Rockets in 5.

Unless I missed another segment, I just watched the part of First Take where they discussed the series and it was very brief. Most of it focused on Harden and how much pressure is on him to perform well. Their entire analysis of the series seemed to come down to the "hack-a" strategy, but they included T-Jones in that group. And they also said Dallas is the biggest wild card in the Western Conference playoffs because of Monta and how he can go off. That's giving the Mavs a little too much credit.

While I don't disagree that bad free throw shooting(although probably not from T-Jones) and Monta's scoring ability could make this a tougher series for the Rockets, I can't see it costing them the whole thing. Not unless Howard and Harden really struggle.

Well they were right on the dot concerning the Clippers, Blazers and Mavericks.

Guy on ESPN this morning (replacing Colin Cowherd) said that the Rockets were going to hurt because Dwight "isn't taking this seriously." I have no idea what he's basing this on, and basically, it just sounded like he was talking out of his ass. I'm so tired of national media acting like they are experts when it's clear they haven't even watched us play. Dwight has been phenomenal the last couple of weeks, and he looks like he's 5 years younger out there. Can't wait to prove the haters wrong (even though we've been doing it all year)!

Now let’s go team by team, fantasy-booking their paths to the NBA’s promised land.

3/8 isn't that bad? To be fair, even the Spurs prediction wasn't far off either.

The clips and the blazers had very little flux, so picking their records doesn't seem too hard (albeit the Blazers have had some injuries to cloud a pick). While the mavs had a bit of change, the moves were quite lateral so that too isn't shocking that ESPN picked correctly there either. What is rather glaring is how wrong they were about the Warriors and Rockets and Grizzles. The injuries to OKC still wouldn't account for how wrong they were about those teams. Heck, they even undervalued the Pels too. Oh well, it goes to show this is why we play the games.

Wrong about the Mavericks; they're 7th. And the Blazers weren't division leaders. If they weren't division leaders, they would be sixth. So all in all, they got one right out of eight.

Wait, nevermind. You were talking about winning percentage. Even then, that's a guess, even if it's educated.

Does anyone know what Mavs fans are saying about the series? Curious to see what they're saying but don't know their forum.

They are just as happy with the matchup if not more than we are. Most are predicting Mavs in 5 or 6, just like every Rockets fan is predicting Rockets in 5 or 6. Only time will tell which of us is right. Go Rockets!!

Coachman said this on The Herd and I was like what?! He has no idea what he's talking about. Like you said, Howard has been fantastic and in limited minutes.

man i want to beat those dickheads and shut their fans up so much...

they continuously suck but act like they are the favorites to win the west...dallas has inferiority complex issues...

hoping parsons isn't 100%...makes not matching that contract a million times sweeter
