Not crazy about not getting shooting... not say I wanted a one dimensional player, but we lack floor spacers.... hopefully Jabari gets consistent and we add a shooter...
Not crazy about bot getting shooting... not say I wanted a one dimensional player, but we lack floor spacers.... hopefully Jabari gets consistent and we add a shooter... I get that but I would rather gamble on a guy who could be a 2 way player someday than someone who is a good shooter now and unlikely to add much else. I think Whitmore needs a year or 2 on the bench. I think 3 years 60 to Grant Williams is a solid bridge.... I would also kick tires on Pat Williams and OG to see if it's going to cost less than a core piece..
There is no guarantee he is a rental. There is not a rule that prevents them from extending or re-signing him. It depends on what he wants to do... they can talk to him prior to making a deal.
I don't know yet, want to see them play in summer league and in the NBA. But I hope it will turn out to be an A+.
I thought Ausar was picked number 5 not Amen. Also grading Spurs as A isn't even really fair. Its like they get an A or an F, there was no in between here.
I give the Rockets an A+ for getting both their guys without trading up. For people saying Amen and Cam are extremely raw and won't help Rox win games, draft is supposed to be about BPA. Unless you are a contender, you don't use the draft for need and esp in Rox case we got 60M in capspace for winning. However while I do think Rox did a grest job they also missed a good opportunity in the draft. They got Cam at 20 and seemed like they just packed up and left. They could have traded KJ Martin and traded back in the draft to get other prospects as so many good talent fell in the 2nd round. In particular, Trace Jackson Davis is basically a 6'9 version of KJ Martin who got drafted at 57th or some ****. We could've rolled over KJ Martin into a similar prospect for cheap rather than pay his salary a year from now. Teams also have 3 Two ways now Rox should have locked up some guys after the draft.
