I remember him tearing Richard Justice to shreds once, with Justice relying on ridiculous bits of illogical nonsense to defend himself. Anderson's write up keeps me psyched up to see what Cushing does. I'm half-expecting the cart to be busy scooping up Giants he leaves in his wake with all the hype. Blue jerseys for the game Sunday. I really wish we could see more of the red (scheduled for Monday night game vs Ravens).
But if it's the other way around...both are a crappy 2-3. Plus, I have to lean towards what's ultimately best for the Texans.
Texans 45 Giants 13 Eli's last name will be all over Reliant Stadium's grass... backwards. ¡¡VAMOS, TEXANS!!!
The link can be found towards the end of this article: http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs/2010/05/game_time_richard_justice_vs_d.php
That's his last name? "Ile"? Uprising: Yes... I was... go back to that post, and read it carefully. Why do you ask that? Was I not clear enough?
Well....his name in the grass backwards entails that he's being turned into roadkill. Which I'm all for. Love seeing Pollard destroy the QB last week. Nice hard hits. Here's to hoping our Defense provides many more to the rest of the QB's they'll face this season.
Arian getting much deserved fear/respect from the Giants.... http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/news/2010/oct/07/bc-fbn-giantsnd-_-sports-550-words/?sports&nfl He's an undrafted guy who comes in and he's taking the league by storm right now," Justin Tuck said. "We have a great challenge and hopefully we can find a way to slow him down because obviously no one else has." "I don't know how you defend against that," defensive tackle Chris Canty said. "There are a lot of different approaches to it, a lot of people have tried a lot of different things, and so far nothing has really worked." The Giants are hoping to slow him down a little bit with what coordinator Perry Fewell said may be a front four built for just this kind of a challenge. "You'd better hope that they're built for this because this is one tough offensive scheme," he said. "He's probably not the fastest and not the strongest, but he's a great combination of both," defensive tackle Barry Cofield said. Justin Tuck tried to come up with a comparable running back that he has seen in the past. "No one comes to mind," Tuck said, marveling at his speed and power. "Maybe he's in a class of his own right now."
Mad props to the Texans in this video. Guys pick Texans over the Giants too. Lots of love for Foster, and Cushing coming back. http://www.nfl.com/videos/houston-texans/09000d5d81b25821/Playbook-Cushing-returns-for-Texans
I love it. Kubiak's brought over just about everything from Denver, and he's finally brought that feeling of having a Terrell Davis type back.
Would love to see the monster that is Cushing have a huge game. I hope he's up for it. I don't think Matt will take more than 2-3 sacks. Faith in the O-line and recognition of Cutler's mistakes put that on me. I would also hope Andre is fully healthy and ready to roll. Winning comes first, but it would be nice to see him break 1500 yds again this year. On the t***-Girls game, I hope for a draw. Preferably 3-3.
This makes me feel like I'm undervaluing Foster right now. That's some high praise from the other locker room.
I see this as a tricky game for the Texans although I'm expecting a win. The Giants are a strange duck and a lot of their problems this season has been due to internal issues. With the Chicago game, it appeared that they were beginning to settle down defensively so Schaub will have to speed up the game like Peyton did when he torched them. He won't be able to hold onto the ball else he's in for a long day. I think their offense will be able to put points on the board. It's the defense that concerns me. Once again, the defensive numbers look pretty bleak. From Football Outsiders: DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) for total defense as well as rushing and passing defense separated. Remember, since positive numbers represent more scoring, defense is better when it is NEGATIVE. The Texans' DVOA as of 10/5 is 26.1% ranking them 31st next to Buffalo at 32nd with a DVOA of 29%. Their perfomance against the Raiders moved them from 32nd to 31st. By way of comparison, the top defensive team is SD with a DVOA of -26%. In pass defense the Texans are 42.4% for a rank of 32nd (the Bills are 41.1% and rank 31st). In rush defense, the Texans are -4.1% for a rank of 18th. The Giants bring a DVOA of -22.5% for a rank of 3rd (They were 12th last week). On pass defense, the Giants are -34.1% for a rank of 1st. On rush defense, the Giants post a -12.1% for a rank of 14th. DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) for total offense as well as rushing and passing offense. On offense, the Texans have the edge and it's significant. They post a DVOA of 31.2% for a rank of 3rd while the Giants post a DVOA of 1.6% for a rank of 16th. Texans have the superior pass offense at 41.2% for a rank of 8th. Texans' rush offense posts 29.6% for a rank 2. The Giants pass offense is 6.5% for a rank of 19th while their rush offense is 5.9% for a rank of 10th.
