That's really funny; are you twelve? Not until all the athletic teams in this town have won ten consecutive championships each will the suffering index be appeased. Houston fans have had their hearts broken, their hopes dashed, and their pockets emptied for decades and with precious few rewards. Your sentiments are rejected.
The struggles have very little to do with Schaub. The line has not provided protection for him all season. He no longer has a safety valve in Daniels he can throw it to under pressure. His holding the ball is as a result of no one being open.
With Denver looking like crap, I am sure they would be willing to listen to offers for Champ Bailey. The Texans should be all over him
i'm sure there are a few geniuses left who think we should hang on to kubiak. the reality though, is we should can his candy ass pronto.
Yea. I remember hearing the same thing about another Texan's QB . . . *cough*David Carr*Cough* QB are the most protected on and OFF the field. Rocket River
ACtually, I think the fan base has been very patient with this team. Imagine if this team was in NY, or Philadelphia, or Pittsburgh. The fan reaction would be a lot more critical.
Did you see how many times the Giants stopped the run? The Texans made the mistake by not establishing the run first though, but the Giants were stopping the run easily.
You can't seriously be comparing Schaub to David Carr? The Texans are a team attempting to transition from a nearly-passing-only offense to one that incorporates the run. Even after today's cluster****, they are still on pace to rack up nearly 4000 yards passing and well over 1500 yards rushing.
I was at the game, and it was pathetic. Fans were all jacked up for the game, and the Texans just got pushed around all over the field. Pathetic.
We saw how quickly "pace" can change, esp. in a short 16-game season like there is in football. Arian Foster's "pace" took a huge dip in one game. Just sayin'... I see that term used a little to freely. Since we have more of a track record now with the passing game, it's more reasonable to expect certain things. The same can't be said about the running game. We'll see how that goes as the season progresses and opposing teams continue accounting for it and Foster.
The Giants defense isn't even the best D we'll see all season. We still have the Ravnes, Jets, and Titans twice. They had better find some toughness or we're going to get run out of those games.
I am comparing how Schaub is basically blameless for anything he does. It is always someone else's fault . . .like it was for Carr. Schaub does make mistakes . . . . Rocket River
Yea, nobody gets off the hook today. The O-line was bad. Schaub was bad. The receivers were bad. Not sure I blame the RBs. They had no space and the playcalling was weak. The coaching was bad. The majority of the defense was horrible. Special teams were irrelevant. I think Turk was solid... heh. Bottom line: Total team failure today.
No way man. People always pray that Schaub doesn't throw his weekly interception. But today, he had almost no time.
For the most part, Schaub stared down his man and threw with no touch today. The OL sucked, for sure, but Matt made many mistakes.
These are the kind of games that separate the playoff teams from the rest of the pack, and I am not Turk.
No one is blameless, but Schaub is one of the brighter spots on this team. Frankly, I hear more b****ing about him than I do anyone except Kubiak on sports radio and elsewhere. He's not an elite qb in this league, but he is well above average. Schaub sucked today. I'm sure he'll fully admit that. I'm sure he'll get shredded on the radio and around here. This idea that he is held blameless isn't supported by what I see an hear. But, frankly, he's the LEAST of this team's concerns. There are much bigger fish to fry at this point in the season.
