One aspect not mentioned much when losing Springer, Correa, Brantley, Bregman, etc. is the loss of their eyes and voices. They were all like coaches, telling one another what they were seeing from the pitchers during the game. I wonder if Crane and Click/Brown roll their eyes about those sort of leadership traits from players. Even stuff like Correa and Bregman encouraging the pitcher and others during mound visits. Now it seems like everything is left up to the manager and actual coaches. No more vocal team captains.
At least our prized prospect is getting valuable ABs and working through the struggle of hitting MLB pitching while we are losing… Oh wait…
