This is unbelievable... first Lance, then Roy, then Wandy, and now Bourn is out today with a strained groin. He says he should be back in a couple days, but then again, that's what Berkman said too. And even if he is, a strained groin is pretty much the worst injury you can draw up for a guy that plays like Bourn does. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bb/6561425.html
The baseball gods are sending us a message and its not good... alysonfooter Earliest Roy can come back is Tuesday. Plans to throw bullpen Friday. alysonfooter Wandy threw side today. Could pitch Sunday. If so, rotation will be Norris, Hampton, Wandy vs. MIL. brianmctaggart Cooper says he can't envision Berkman playing before this weekend.
Crap, I'm going to the game Saturday. I did the math originally and I figured Hampton would be starting. Then with all the injuries astros.com said it would be Norris and I was pumped. Then they changed it to Wandy. Then Oswalt. Either would have been great... but now it's back to Hampton .
There's a play that every last ML OFer should make. That was awful. Luckily we escaped with no damage.
Despite the blunder in the 1st, this is J Mike's best game of the season. That pretty much tells you how his season has gone.
Kaz hit a dribbler to the right of the pitcher. Sanchez scooped it with his glove toward 1st but Kaz beat it by a step. Michaels got a good jump and probably never stopped running. Sanchez also bumped into Garko delaying the throw home.
Kaz beat out a single, and Garko kind of nudged Freddy Sanchez, throwing him off a bit. Michaels was safe by a couple of steps.
Tejada has more errors and more GIDPs than walks this season. Hard hit or not, an average SS makes that play.
