    LOL!!!

Where is that guy, anyway? Once again, disappeared. I wonder, should the Astros drop 8 of 10 in the next 10 days, if we will come back crowing again?

Actually, I think the Texans were the ones who started the trend last year, because as soon as the Texans started to look good (first 2-0 start in franchise history), Andre Johnson went down. So here's hoping that the cycle has been completed, and the Sports Gods are finally done ripping the hearts out of Houston sports fans.

I'm worried that they will ripe apart my insides again. Everytime I get to the point where I can just sit back and enjoy every game without regards to standings...the Astros make a run that makes you think...if they just keep winning the next couple of series, they are within striking distance of a miracle run. I start caring about standings and what other teams or doing. Then, the Astros lose, lose, and lose.

Honestly...I'm a huge optimist...and I love my 'stros. But the Brewers are 17 games over right now. I just can't see us catching them for the WC. I can't see us playing at that level for as long as it would take.

If it happens, I'll be thrilled! But just enjoy game by game as you have been.

Cooper's goal is to win 90 games which would be a 30-13 record from here on out. Even more incredible when added to the streak they're already on. It would still be pretty darn impressive if they ended this season with 85 wins (25-18 to close)

    Man, Abercrombie is TRASH. 2 K's tonight, with a .211 BA. :(

    I miss Carlos.

I hate quoting myself, but they just walked Pence (intentionally) to load the bases for Abercrombie. :(

And to be fair, Abercrombie got the RBI with a sac fly

I'm loving this inning. Quite nice that Zito lost virtually all of his command and the most important damn thing - we capitalized, lol :)

4-1 lead, a very likely possibility that we can win this game and then Moehler tomorrow has about as good of a chance as any pitcher to win. Back to back 4 game sweeps would kickass!

And a bit unfair to be quoting his BA after 19 at bats lol

you're right but if no one's on base, abercrombie does what he does 99.9% of the time which is getting OUT.

i'll give him credit for being able to knock it into the outfield enough to where a run can score though.

Wow, what an odd way to score 6 runs in an inning. I'll take it.

There's a lot of hate for Abercrombie given 20 at-bats. Geez. I know his K numbers are atrocious, but his Triple A numbers are good enough that I wouldn't mind him getting a start here and there over Michael Bourn, arguably the worst hitter in the bigs.

WOW! That has to be one of the strangest things I've ever read in the Game Day PBP.

I can't see the game so I'm watching the pitch by pitch updates.

    HBP...Walk....HBP....HBP.

    All of them score runs.

    WOW! :D

How come you're not watching the game? You want an mlb.tv link?

You know what's funny. I know why I dislike Abercrombie so much. He reminds me of Preston freaking Wilson. That is reason alone to dislike the guy :)

Sure! I'm in Houston at the moment, and my slingbox is down. :( no cable where I'm at.

As for Abercrombie, I didn't realize how little amount of at bats he has had. Only 20 or so. But man, I does K a lot. I'm trying to give him a chance. I will say, I was happy to see him finally make contact, and good enough contact for the sac fly.
