Yep... Woody might have actually had a better shot than Luke.

I already used the "Woody probably would have been better" line.

    Show me love.

Wow... we take a series from the Giants at MMP!

    We're over .500!

This game was super fast... perfect timing to switch over to Suns-Spurs.

    Happy dances for everybody!

Sampson goes to 4-3 on a solid start. Bullpen goes 9 up, 9 down. Very nice.

Back to back wins even as the top of the order is 2-26 (both singles) with 1 walk the last 2 days. Thankfully, Pence has 7 hits, 2 homers, a double, a walk, 4 RBI, 2 runs and a steal in the same time span.

Cat, if you are responsible for "Pence keeps making Giants none the richer," I guarantee that I will put you in a headlock for an annoyingly long time if ever we cross paths.

Sure got that quick recap up fast, though, nicely done. ;)

One of the best things about astros.com was reading the early recaps by Footer, especially during a bad stretch or a poor effort. She would just tear the team up, veeeeeery pointed comments. That version would go away after a few hours & be replaced with something more fit for mass public consumption.

I definitely know what you are talking about and wholeheartedly agree. She really did try to take advantage of the short window.

Headlines are an editor call, not reporters. :)

Full version is up now. And before anyone mentions it, I already noticed that Pence's homer was on a change, not a fastball... they're supposed to be fixing that as we speak.

    Glad to hear it. :p

I gotta tell you man, your timing is pretty good. I'd feel a lot better coming in asking Brad Lidge essentially "Why are you succeeding?" rather than "Why are you failing?"

Did you see you got a little face time on OWA's gamezone? You're Ben DuBois and they're a little worried about the implications for Footer. :)

Guys I don't know as much info about baseball as I do basketball but can someone tell me why Pence wasn't batting behind Lee? They had Jason Lane in front of Pence and Adam no hit Everett behind him?? How can they drive Pence in when he's obviously he has been hot getting on base?

If you bat him in front of Lane, then that is another player who can't drive hime in. :)

Seriously, I suspect the main reason is that right now he is very comfortable in the 6th spot. Personally, I'd like to see him hitting second.
