Well i can't put this one on Lidge. Sometimes the breaks just don't go your way. In a tough situation, he didn't walk people .. nothing close to a wild pitch with a guy on 3rd. He did a decent job, but it just didn't work out. Lets turn this one into a W for him!

I'm still trying to figure out how going deep into the count allows Winn to ground out weakly to first, only to have the ball hit the bag and go straight up.

Also, his only good pitch IS an off-speed pitch.

That wasn't a weak groundball. That play was going to be somewhat difficult for Berkman, though I think he'd have made it.

He got unlucky but he throws more balls over the middle of the plate when he goes deep.

And, yes tonight he pitched pretty well...that was some pretty bad luck.

    DARN IT !!!!

Ensberg with another LONG foul ball....

FRACK....a game the STROS should have won if Lamb could have fielded that ball or the toss from Scott.

Well, it bounced twice... and it wasn't a screamer. If Berkman doesn't make that play, its a fat E-3. If the ball bounces off the bag any way but straight up, there's likely enough time to scramble and get the out.

Ensberg's Fisk impersonations are starting to become his MO... if only he can keep the ball fair.

that pitcher the giants have is nasty. that delivery looks a little scary though.

good read though i think they're wrong on their "worry" over oswalt. he hits 95-96 when he wants to, but why throw extra pitches when getting them to put the ball into play has worked so dominantly for a while now.

don't argue with the best pitcher in the national league.
