Here's the problem I see with Brad hitting 2nd - he's still primarily a groundball type hitter. Combine that with very average speed, and he's very double play prone, which is one of the last things you want out of the 2 slot hitter. Taveras' raw speed solves that. I still would consider making the move. Batting Taveras in front of Berkman has taken away his base stealing ability almost entirely. He's tied with a couple of old fogies in Ausmus and Preston Wilson for the team SB lead and is on pace for only about 12. Putting him into the bottom of the order would allow him to take more chances and wreak havoc on the basepaths.
Where was the press conference for Bonds "public" affair? Did he admit to committing adultry? Again all rumors, no evidence.
No evidence? She testified in the trial. There are documented audio and physical evidence of their relationship (financials, voicemails, etc). Her name is Kimberly Bell. She dated him for 9 years up until 2003. This is all very public information - you choosing to stick your head in the stand and ignore it does not equate to there being "no evidence". Since when do athletes have press conferences about affairs anyway? If you don't want see the reality, fine - but don't sit here and pretend you're trying to be objective.
You seem to know a lot about his affair, where are you getting this information? How do YOU know if they had an affair? Because the tabloids said so? Because she said so? How do you get your info..? There are many gold digging woman in this world seeking to get rich from another man. How do you know if she wasn't pulling this stunt to get money from him? Wrong. She went under oath to testify against Bonds regarding his steroids issues it had nothing to do with an affair. Bonds has said many times she was just a friend nothing else. Like I said who are you going to believe... a so-called mistress who has been on Geraldo Rivera and Fox News channel to promote her new book on Bonds or Barry Bonds himself?
She was called to testify about his steroid use, but in establishing the relationship, she testified that she was his girlfriend, and testified on the topic of their relationship. Nice try, though. Do you even know any of the facts, or do you just make stuff up as you go? Who are you going to believe, dozens of people who have no real stake in Bonds' success or failure and piles of government evidence ranging from witnesses to documents, or someone who's going to protect himself at all costs? Do you believe every single person who denies they committted a crime? By this standard, I assume you believe no one has ever committed a crime. I'll believe the evidence.
You have no clue do you? Whatever she said to the Grand Jury is private. It's not public information where you have access to. I suppose your get your information through the MEDIA. For all you know she could have said I was just Bond's friend, I did not see him take steroids ever. Let's go by facts and not media garbage... ok so she did testify against bonds (in 2005) using illegal steroids, but yet Bonds is still playing baseball everyday? Hmm something smells fishy. Perhaps she was lying the whole time and had to tell the truth to the jury, avoiding any possible perjury charges. Again I ask the question why hasn't Bonds been indicted already? Is he above the law? You go by your so-called "witnesses", "evidence" and what the media says i'll go with my two eyes and watch Barry Bonds chase Hank.
Ummm, because generally people gather evidence before they indict, and there is a process involved. I ask you again - do you know anything about the legal system? And you still haven't answered - where did Barry say he didn't have an affair? You indicated earlier that he made this statement but have yet to provide evidence. Or is this another case of you shifting the argument when it suits you?
Actually, the testimony is quite public because it was leaked and made public, and no one has challenged the credibility of that fact. Even Bonds chose to try to sue for profits from the book (and was denied) rather than suing for libel. In fact, the government has corroborated that by trying to find out who leaked it.
