It would be sweet to see Roy go the whole game, didn't happen to many times last year.

It might be time for me to jump on the bandwagon.

i don't know if facing bonds with the tying runs on in the 8th is the time to switch from being captain hook to grady little.

    bonds is just unreal.

Oswalt had been attacking Bonds every at bat. You knew sooner or later those doubles were going to turn into something more.

You can already see a difference in the way Jimmy is gonna manage the staff. Last year Oswalt would have been pulled before facing Bonds.

I'm not going to comment on taking him out or not because if he had taken hiim out and Lidge gave up the HR i'd be frustrated too..

the only problem I have is what espn brought up before he gave up the hr.. you don't go out and walk so slowly and make the pitcher pause that long between pitches.. espn mentioned that while jimy was taking forever

    Geez.

    SF owns Minute Maid Park.

Our offense let Rueter off the hook by not taking advantage of all those bases loaded opportunities.

    :(

ESPN is going to be all over Barry's HR.

Even I didn't expect 162-0. 161-1 is more like it. The streak starts tomorrow.

The Yankees, Redsox, Cardinals, and Phillies all lost their opener so we are in good company

Well, good game until the 8th inning where it all went to hell.

What is up with the 2 unassisted outs?! First kent hits the ball into his foot with the bases loaded and is out for the 3rd out.

And then Biggio hits himself in the elbow for the first out of the 9th inning.

I have never seen that call before, and then it happened twice tonight. Very strange.

Well, that pissed me off. Bring em on tomorow. Why do the Giants own us? :(

Did Dotel get the loss because of the last run?

There goes the wire to wire Division winners. This was a game we could have won. There were plenty of chances.

We can still take 2 of 3. Let's go Astros.
