What amazes me is that nobody is talking about the fact that Artest was called for a foul on that play. If we're excusing Kobe for playing tough under the boards, how can you call a foul on Artest on that play? He's moving his man using his lower body just like I was taught in Jr. High years ago.

And boy, that elbow sure looks deliberate to me regardless of where the NBA says it landed.

And if Ron had pushed a little harder on kobe's head, his neck could have snapped.

    Get real.

Are you kidding? Ron pushed on his HEAD and elbowed him in the head, FIRST. At least be honest!

he was pushing him with his forearm and didnt give an elbow BLOW to the head, also what the hell was Kobe's head doing so low, because he was trying to push on him and had to get real low to do it

What does a flagrant do at this point? Imaginary points?

All of this reeks of crap.

Alston: He intentionally slapped House on the head, mostly due to frustration. He did not nor was he intending on hurting House. He deserved a 1 game suspension.

Fisher: He intentionally elbowed Scola. This was not frustration. This was not emotions. This was pure malice; cold, calculated and unprofessional. It was an assault. Even with K Washington/Rudy T, Washington never wanted the outcome to his actions. Fisher should be suspended for the remainder of the playoffs. This crap should never be tolerated.

Bryant: I don't approved of cheap or dirty play. The Battier incident was much worse. Both deserved a flagrant. Never mind the foul on Artest. If the appropriate call would have been made, Bryant would have been ejected for two technicals. If they can call for BS offensive goal tending and call a 3 point shot a 2 point shot after it has been credited, they surely could have made this call.

I don't like crying foul for little ticky tack crap, but this BS should not be over looked.

I had the same question. What does a flagrant 1 do after the fact? Fine only? If called during the game, we'd get 2 shots and the ball.

Agreed. The Lekers seemed this at the PG spot, and it just got thinner.

That said, I will miss seeing Brooks blowing past Fisher as he struggles to backpedal.

Well correct me if i'm wrong but if he were to get another flagrant he'd be suspended for the next game.

basically the rules state that in the playoffs, if a player get 4 points, its an automatic suspension.

    flagarant 1 = 2 points
    flagarant 2 = 4 points

so if kobe gets another flagarant during anytime in the rest of the playoffs, its an automatic suspension

heres hoping to one later in the series as opposed to early, where he can comeback and burn us

Of course the league isn't gonna suspend Kobe, ITS FREAKING KOBE. He walks on water.

Maybe the league will just let the teams go back to LA, pick the game back up at the 7 minute mark, bring back Artest, give Houston two free-throws and the ball and resume game 2 - The way it was meant to be played.

Yeah right  but that's how it should be!

Oh, and by the way, while I'm dreaming, let Joey Crawford go and join Donahy (& Bennie Salvatore for that matter) in some minimum security prison somewhere.
