But when you watch a bench player come into the starting lineup and start to play with people like kobe who demand the ball all of the time their impact on the game decreases. I would expect a slight increase in the numbers for the young guards with the increased playing time. Its not going to be they play double the time and get double the stats.

The NBA has no credibility whatsoever. We support our players and our organization but that's it. Stu Jackson and David Stern are just glorified versions of Jim McMahon and Don King.

Geez, they let a rapist, prima donna, cheap shot artist become a marquee attraction and the face of the league. What does that tell you about the kind of organization it is and the people who run it.

About what was expected though, no?

I'm still glad Artest did what he did. If he hadn't, they probably wouldn't have even looked at this incident, let alone assign Kobe a flagrant.

So the end result is: Kobe gets a cheap shot in. Artest is livid, gets a T and is tossed. Kobe pays a few dollars to Stern as blood money for fixing the game in LA's favor. In other words, Rockets screwed. Thanks, corrupt NBA.

Maybe that's why the league isn't getting any money from me. Why should I give my money to organized crime?

Farmar is listed at 6'2" and Fisher at 6'1". I dont think Farmar has an 8 inch longer reach than Fisher. Farmar and Brown are getting a lot of credit on this board for some reason

I dont know if this helps the Rockets. Aaron had an advantage over Fisher in that he was much faster and and as good of a shooter as Fish but now in comes Farmar who is very athletic (42 inch vert) and looking to prove something after being banished to the bench. The Lakers will be a quicker team now.

You are over-worrying. Focus on something else. Ron is smart enough not to go beyond that in the third game.

In the worse scenario, just in case he broke Kobe's bones or noses so that he will be honest, I will take it.

I sincerely hope the fans do NOT boo Kobe. That's exactly the kind of stuff that fires him up and turns him into the Black Mamba. The best attitude towards Kobe is indifference, ala Shane Battier. That gets him into the overcompensation/"do it all" mode because all he's doing is looking for a reaction. Watching Kobe jaw and hiss at Shane last night reminded me how fragile he still is despite all he's accomplished. You have to use his sense of entitlement against him.

Although chanting "S-T-D" instead of "M-V-P" when he shoots free throws would be good.

Hmm, i wonder how revenue is distributed with the NBA as franchisor and its franchises.

But yeah, it's about entertainment and it's a for-profit entity, they can do whatever they want.

On another note, are they going to address Kobe's "getting up" in Game 1?

And I agree with "worzel gummidge"...Stern said it himself, elbow above the shoulder --> suspension. What's this double standard?!? haha..

At least Fisher gets suspended. It may be a blessing in disguise for the Lakers, but it was the right and just decision to make regarding Fisher's intentional cheapshot on Scola, and hopefully we can get an advantage at the point guard position now. From what i saw though, Farmar did a good job defensively when he was in, Shannon Brown didn't seem that great to me. Maybe we'll be more prepared for them for tomorrow's game.

Yup, nothing. That's what the league thinks of the Rockets. Every jumpshot of Kobe's should have a foot under him. Lots of accidents can happen on the basketball court....

Unless someone can show me a clip where the blow doesn't hit the chest, rather only the throat/head, they (NBA) are in a defensible case. The suspension of Fisher but not Kobe or Artest is what I expected. The target of Kobe's shot wasn't as clear--at least not from the clips I have seen, nor premeditated/out of the flow of the game.

Also, the Fisher suspension very likely WILL hurt. It is one thing for Brown to step up in a back-up role at home with a low of freedom, it is another to start and play well on the road in a very structured/differential situation (playing with starters). Farmar is just playing like garbage anyway. I think the Lakers lose a major presence. On top of good/clutch open shooting, Fisher is a tough defender, knows the system, and gets the ball to Kobe/Gasol where they like it.

Hostile crowd & the Lakers having only 1 veteran guard, the Rockets must win game 3. The Rockets have done a good job throwing younger/mediocre role players off this playoffs (Portland and Lakers), if we can keep Arizra, Sasha, Farmar and Walton clunking those jumpers it will be hard for the Lakers to win (Brown has been shooting well, but he no longer is an afterthought and we can give him a little attention now so he falls apart too).

And Von Wafer is back for game 3...

    Official tweet from Rockets:

Adelman says he has talked with Wafer, dealt with it and team has moved on. Wafer will be available Friday night.
