I've been saying it for the past three years. This defensive philosophy to switch every screen is killing us. It forces our guards to defend big men and screws up our rotations and box out assignments which is why we always lose on the offensive glass. I really think we do this because James is beyond lazy fighting through screens. Watch him closely next time. He always tells the big man to switch onto the guard. It messes everything up. Switching is a tactic not a something you do every single time there's a screen. Teams are catching onto this and challenging James and everytime down the floor.
That is my biggest issue with McHale. Not only is he a failure, he continuously fails at the same things over and over and over again. There has been absolutely no progression as a coach. Nothing implemented within this team where you think 'oh hey that's a sign of McHale. "Play harder guys. Guys. Hey guys you've got to play harder" That's what this chump is known for. I haven't once seen him take ANY blame for any of the pitfalls of this team. It's always the team's problem. They weren't playing hard enough. They didn't do this. They didn't do that. I can't honestly point to one reason which explains why he's even the head coach still. It obviously has things to do behind the scenes - and that's Morey's biggest fail by far.
I've said this before. This team has the talent to be knocking on the door of greatness. McHale isn't going to open it for us.
sure you can hold mchale accountable, but he has faith in his "star" player, and that player needs to be held accountable. Not even running the PnR with Dwight anymore. There is a big chemistry problem that has been there since the postseason
I've never actively rooted for McHale to be fired, but no more. This is unacceptable. This is the most talented roster the Rockets have had in decades and they are performing like one of the worst teams in the league. Nothing more to say.

Agreed. Lionel hollies got fired after a WCF appearance. Why can't an inferior coach like McHale with a much more talented roster can't be?
