Really? You should probably blame then for not being able to draw up offensive sets to allow his players to score.... IN THREE BLOODY YEARS.

The whole point of taking smith out is to get the game going and get rythem. Pop was fouling smith even when they're up so harden doesn't get going. He slowed the game to his desire and kept the crowd quite. Itsan easy call, should have subbed smith out

He could of simply put Howard in, they would of fouled him and Howard was shooting them great tonight, basically not even having to worry about him wearing out the knee.

Pop would alternate fouling between Dwight and Josh each and every time. Yes...Pop is that smart.

If you make a Ft contest between Duncan and Smith, we lose every single time.

But he have to still play defense meaning he would have to sit him at the end of the game.

And the two 3 by Mills hurt the Rockets more.

The game have the same separation in point as before the Hack-a Smith.

Yes, this is true, but we needed to get Smith out of there. This game was too important . Popovich knew the importance of this game, that's why he pulled the hack a josh out of the hat.

same problem as last year, we can't guard bigs without dwight.

this was lamarcus aldridge all over again.

Boy, I'm so glad McHale didn't resort to this then. Genius move not doing so actually and securing the W.

    Oh.... Wait a minute.

Houston tie 64-64 before Hack a Smith 73-72 wining After Hack a Smith.
Houston losing 86-89 before Hack a Smith 98-98 After Hack a Smith.

    Houston + 4 during Hack a Smith.

I agree with the assessment, but it completely denied James the chance to get into a rhythm. They came out +4 while continually running their offense while our guys cooled. I hate the tactic but we were sloppy after the Smith sub.

Lol, checkers. Good one. Also, we have no chance with McHale at the helm in the playoffs. Les and Morey are stubborn and foolish for staying with this guy.

But if you play with Jones yes you maybe in a better rhythm offensively but our defense will suck protecting the paint, actually when the Sub him in the 3rd SA made a 6-0.

And I don't think James was that cold he made a key lay up a 3 pointer and should have been won the game and everybody would be calling him an MVP for clutch basket.

The ideal is to pay Howard but he is on minutes restriction, that would have sold the problem, but honestly Houston miss a lot of easy buckets, Howard basically fumble a pass by Jones and another pass, that were basically dunks in the other hand SA also miss some easy buckets.

This team just got the chance to beat a Super hot SA Spurs that just beat us by a lot with Howard on minutes restriction.

    Blame injuries for that.

That was actually when they didn't do the Hack a Smith.

Smith During the Hack +4, No Hack -8.

    Hack didn't change the outcome.

It was time a year ago. But what do they do? Reward mediocrity with a contract extension! Is this real life?

With a narcisstic egotistical GM like Morey who thinks he has solved basketball and rehired this muppet lackey lack of testicular fortitude McHale this org is doomed

Morey needs some humility and realize his mistake and fix it this off season aka let go off McFail as coach
