If the Rockets come back to win this series, especially if McHale tosses" Moreyball" out the window in the process, I'll kiss his feet....
I give credit to McHale for having the awareness to play Troy Daniels. Twas his idea right? Or did Morey read CF and tell McHale.
Gotta give McHale credit for playing Daniels. Not many NBA head coaches would have played a rookie in OT of a do or die playoff game.
lol... Now is cluelessness is being mistaken for outside-the-box thinking... Christ.... the incompetent get all the breaks, I guess....
McHale has to be the Homer Simpson of NBA coaches.... Almost impossible to believe level of luck and benefit of the doubt based on no merit whatsoever...
Anyone that said 8 hours ago that its inevitable that McHale gets fired just doesn't know what they are talking about. I will say this though. Win or lose, If the Rockets, Les, and Morey decide they want to give McHale another chance this next season, I would be shocked if they DIDN'T go after a Scott Skiles type to be brought in to coordinate the defense. Guys, the relationships McHale has with the players matters in their decision making. I'm not saying he should be retained win or lose, or that there ARENT better coaches in gyms all across the globe, but despite his deficiencies there is still going to be a chance either way that he's back next year despite what the majority of the outspoken fans crave.
Tossing out Moreyball? Playing Troy Daniels in the first place only adds credit to Moreyball. Daniels hitting a GAME-WINNING three? Moreyball just elevated to elite status.
Positive side If we lose this, hopefully McHale is one defeat away from being fired. Hope he never comes close to the Rockets again
I have defended McHale since the day he was hired but... Putting Lin in was the dumbest thing I have ever seen why would you do that I swear morey should just hire me to be the head coach I could do a better job than McHale. Fire. Kevin. McHale.
