McHale is probably the 3rd best offensive coach in the League behind Rick Adelaman and Popp!. Give the guy a break. He got us into the playoffs last season and the season before with a bunch of scrubs and had it not been for a epic late season collapse he would have got us there to.
McHale led us to a good spot and ultimately led us to the meltdown. He is inconsistent and there is hope he will find some consistency.
McHale is a good to very good coach, but I don't ever seeing him being elite coach and frankly we can win a title with a few adjustment with his coaching..Alot of other coaches rated him as one of the best offensive coaches in the league. Our main issue is defense.

Players are inconsistent. McHale? No. The guy is a rock. Seen it all, done it all and heard it all. The Portland game is a great indicator as to how great of a motivator and coach McHale is. A 15 point victory on the road on the second night of a back to back, after a disheartening loss the previous night. What more do you want? Phil?
But when has he EVER indicated that he prioritizes Offense over Defense? He's playing both centres. He's starting Beverley over Lin. Remember when he benched KMart a lot because of his D? And Budinger? Prioritized Parsons over Morris. If he preferred only offense, Lin would be playing 35mins/game and DMo would be your starting PF (Or at least 20 mins.) And Greg Smith would eat into Asik's mins. It's very clear that Lin,Harden and even sadly Parsons have been weak on D. How can you blame the coach for their shortcomings? Oh... first 3 games we were among the top 10 in D. Small sample size but the LA game is an even smaller sample size.
I don't think he should be fired, but this Asik-Howard experiment is simply not working. Our defense has been god-awful all season too.
I don't think he should be fired but I can clearly see that McHale has his favorites. He clearly likes Patrick more than Jeremy and it seems like he's been finding an excuse to try to take Jeremy out of the starting line up. I don't care who starts at PG but why can't he see that our front court is god effing awful. Instead of having Dwight play PF have someone who is actually a PF play PF please. D-Mo and Jones deserves some real minutes.
Thought we had a 9 to 10 man rotation. MOH (McHale Only Hater) here. Seriously, he's not a good coach. We're lucky we're stacked with talent.
