How are you saying this? Did you even watch the game? So 1/10 from Stukey, and 5/15 FG from Knight "destroyed" Lin rofl. Lin got a triple double as a PG against the Hawks yet Teague destroyed him. Okay. Lilliard got shut down 4 quarters and looked like a complete scrub by Lin, then he got wide open 3's(from a defensive lapse from Lin) and scored like 12 in OT and he destroyed Lin. Please, Lin will improve his defensive decisions of going to help the paint, but Lilliard if weren't for OT would be called a "exposed scrub PG" by most people. He had like 10 points on 3-14 or some ****...

Lawson did do what he want against Lin, he is a quicker guard and Lin did good until he was stopped by some screens. Conley by no means "destroyed Lin", he was 5-13 with 4 assists...looked like a scrub PG and the only time he got inside was when Lin got hit with a hard screen and they didn't switch off in time. Yeah, they all really "destroyed" Lin

Please you're not a fan, you just have a agenda to push, I mean you clearly don't watch anything. If you watch the game at all, you would notice even Lin or Harden is not that bad as they're playing...they actually looked great the first 2 games when Lin wasn't forced to be a 3 point spot up shooter and Harden wasn't forced to ISO every play with high screen and roll while Lin dropped the ball off to him to sit in the corner.

Why is it that when Lin is allowed the freedom he goes off(like 4th quarter today)? Why is a star from OKC who shot high percentage his whole career do so bad his last 3 games? Because McHale restricts them to roles, like he makes 4 ppl stop and stare while Harden ISO's every time, and have Lin pass the ball off for scrubs like Delfino, Parsons, and Patterson chuck up 3's while he sits on the 3 point line(btw, going into the game today we were 28th in 3's attempted, but 2nd in 3's made. McHale's response? "We're a team that's going to shoot a lot of 3's" Clearly the coaching is the main problem here.

gosh you Houston fans are just... it's not even 10 games yet. Give all of them some times to Gel. You can call for his head mid-season.

He never seems to call a timeout on time. He waits too long to play the rookies. He seems to value the wrong point guards to allow on the roster.

We have been calling for his head since before the meltdown last season. This is not just about our first five games only.

I facepalmed the day we signed McHale. Why did we sign this useless coach who has no idea what he's doing and just good at running his mouth, I thought. Throughout his time as a coach here, he confirmed that fact.

He still does, he clearly has no idea what he's doing and since he done away with Adelman's system, he's trying a new 'live and die by the 3' system, trying to imitate what SVG did with Dwight Howard, except we don't have great 3 point shooters, and we don't have the best center in the league to free up the arcs. We were 2nd in the league at 3's attempted coming into this game, and 28th in the league at making 3's...Yet he said "We're a team that's going to shoot a lot of 3's"

And he wants to make Jeremy Lin into a spot up 3 point shooter, while having Harden only ISO. Really don't know if mentally challenged or ignorant, or just really a chicken running around with it's head cut off.

The most worrisome sign is that the more coaching the team receives, the worse they play.

More coaching = more confusion, more frustration, worse shooting percentages, a complete lack of ball movement.

McHale will certainly be fired before the start of next season, so why delay the inevitable?

And get rid of his entire staff. They're a sad bunch of yes men.

The coaching staff is the weak link in this franchise.

The Rockets should know what they are getting when they signed McHale and fired a good coach in Rick. A lot of players last year were not too happy with McHale at all. McHale and his entire coaching staff really need to get their things together and figure out a way to utilize everyone else so that teams would let Harden breathe a little bit.

Anyway, watching the Rockets lose and struggle so bad lately is frustrating, and I really hope they don't overuse James Harden too much. But if the Rockets ends up with a high lottery pick this year, top 10 to top 5 would be great. Also, I really think the Rockets should go ahead and trade Patrick Patterson for a forward who can create his own shots and play more aggressive. I think Patterson is getting too much playing time, while guys like TJones and Dmo is not getting any opportunity at all.

If the Rockets are doing terrible anyway, why not let the Rookies get some PT and some experience instead of just warming the bench. At least that way, they can get better and bring some much needed energy off the bench. Patrick isn't going to get any better than he is now. This is his 3rd year and he has shown no signs of any break outs. He is a great decent player but will never be as good as Scola was. Scola was at least aggressive, rugged and able to create his own shot. I thought Patrick would learn a lot from Scola over the past few years, but I guess not.

I'm a fan of the Rockets and a fan of winning, first and foremost. Lin has been blown away by non factors such as Conley and Knight, I have witnessed it first hand. Lin can't guard a screen door, nor does he shoot very well. The only thing he does well is turn the ball over.

If Morey were to use his analytics to gauge Mchale's qualifications/past performance before he was hired as rockets coach, what would it have told him?
