Thank you sir for calling out the Mchale apologists. Growing pains is the bobcats, the wizards. If they want to make excuses, see how those team develop players. Our growing pains consist of guys getting leg cramps sitting on the pine.
McHale is destroying the confidence of harden and lin, bringingg up too much burden to harden like he is lebron, while confusing Lin a lot: pg,sg,pg,sg? corner observer every game
The type of offense McHale is instituting is clearly detrimental to our offense and not playing to our starts strengths. He is trying to make Harden into a PG and Lin into a 3 point shooter. I don't know what he is doing. We should take Laker's example and fire him - snatch up Dantoni before it's too late.
McHale sucks, but even if we fire him today we wouldn't get anyone better. D'Antoni is garbage, and Stan Van Jeremy is completely disconnected from his players and not good at managing personalities. Who will we get to replace McHale? And do you really think that coach will be better?? Right now the problem isn't coaching, its our players. We overpaid for scrubs like Harden and Lin, Asik. Now we're stuck in Scrubville and I doubt any coach with any self decency would ever want to coach here.
McHale doesn't seem to have any offensive gameplan out there. Teams have figured out that we have two plays in our playbook, the high pick and roll and the high pick and roll. Harden joining late is not an excuse. This team needs to be figuring out what it has in its young guys rather than running Harden, Lin, and Asik into the ground in order to extract 38 wins out of them this year. We're going to take the cartilage out of Lin's knees, put the crick in Asik's back, and drive Harden off to the strip clubs every night. With Breakfast Klub in the morning. Let's not turn Harden into Raymond Felton. Fire McHale ASAP.
What happened to all your b****ing about Rick Adelman, and how the Rockets would be better with McHale because he wasn't 100 years old and losing his coaching acumen like RA? Meanwhile in Minny, their rookie Alexey Shved has already been integrated into Adelman's rotation and he's been an instrumental part of their 4-1 record.
In other words, McHell is full of Shiiit. Either go back to broadcasting or run for politics. With each, he could yapp his way out of everything.
Remember when T-Mac and Artest weren't working well together everyone said Fire Adelman? this is the same thing. McHale isn't the problem!
Forget Dwight, you honestly think that is in the cards at this point then I ask you put down the pipe.
Promote Chris finch and let the entire team and coaching staff grow together? Didn't he know some stuff from adlemans play book?
Finch would be good I think....I hope it happens. McHale will get more time. Right now his only excuse is that we are playing some really tough teams. They need to pick up this game against Detroit.
Could not agree more. In the first 2 games Harden and Lin played well freelancing it. Now they're trying to follow his offensive schemes which are awful.
Never understood why Mchale was hired in the first place. Don't know why Morey likes Mchale so much. Doesn't seem like a morey type of coach. Which makes me believe that Mchale was always just a temporary replacement, until Finch is ready to make the next transition...
McHale is a horrible fit for this team, but lets face it, our so called "star" players are overrated and overpaid. No matter what coach we get in here our ceiling with these scrubs isn't very high.
Uh... you do realize how LONG it takes to learn and internalize a playbook? I've played team sports before. You usually have 2-4 WEEKS to sort out a playbook and sets. And even then, many of them are messy as hell while you get used to playing with eachother until part way into a season. Much of our playbook was chucked out the window when they signed Harden. And ALOT of the guys are young AND New to the team (13 players). There will also be a dropoff in performance while they sort them out. They won't pass their streetballing for quite a while I'm guessing. And you can't compare trying to integrate a rookie into a team packed full of players who Already know the sets to integrating your two main offensive weapons into a team, let alone into a team where Most of them haven't even played here before this season, let alone in the NBA. Seriously, it's like you guys are expecting Miracles when we all accept that this is a borderline playoff team. It will take TIME.
Chef, look at them Lakers though. Stacked but with wrong coach doesn't equate to winning. I'm not saying Harden and Lin is anywhere near Kobe and Nash's level either which proves a stronger case.
