Every team is going to go through scoring droughts. It is just part of professional sports. Get used to it. It is only the W in the end that counts. And it looks like McHale lighted a fire underneath their rear ends at halftime. And, if I could be so frank as to point it out, did you not see the 15 first half turnovers?

I hate to break it to you buddy but McHale is a real NBA coach. Professionalism and doing your job. And not turning the ball over 15 times in the first half. McHale sees what is wrong and moves to correct it. It is all about how the roster preforms on the court is it not?

Honestly I was really skeptical about that Greg Smith move. We won so whatever but Asik should have been in. JJ Barea was scoring at the rim with ease because Smith wasn't there for help defense. I was actually saying that McHale should have put Asik in still.

smith had a couple of dumb-as-rock plays he normally has but you're kidding yourself if you think we should have kept Asik in. Laterally he was as slow as I've ever seen him. Smith also had some really good PnRs.

    Agreed.

The Rockets should just trade Asik because the coaching staff obviously do not have any faith in him.

A team like the bobcats would be nice where he would thrive as their team leader and be the 1st option. And maybe they would actually let him run the offense for once instead of making him pass it off to Lin or Harden then stand under the basket.

SMH racist McHale hating on Turks. Why pay 8 million for a player when you are just going to keep him on the bench.

I agree. If Minny bigs were in and they were controlling the pace and dominating the boards, then it would be a totally different story - Asik better be in but in this case Smith was the best choice. Each game is different.

Greg was terrific offensively. He moves great off the ball which is what I love about him, he has a knack for not standing around and watching. He has great hands, finishes well through contact etc. I have always been on the Greg Smith bandwagon since the beginning of the season & even when he got send down to the D-League.

But I firmly believe that you should always end games with your best defender on the floor. JJ was carving us up because Greg wasn't helping on D. Win or lose unless Asik is in foul trouble, or about to pass out from exhaustion Asik should always be on the floor. This is just an observation I am not complaining.

I never said McHale was racist. Nor did I say we should trade Omer.

With the benefit of hindsight, you're still arguing this point? I bet if we lost this game, you'd be arguing your viewpoint to the bone.

Quoting myself from the other McHale thread. Given that I've been a vocal critic of McHale just have to give him some kudos right now.

McHale's substitutions have been pretty good the last few games. Good to see he identified Garcia as being a weak link and took him out of the rotation, pulls Robinson when he sucks (basically every game), he even tried to split Lin & Harden this game though I'm not sure whether that was intentional or just circumstantial, and going with Beverley to close was the right decision this game.

When we win, Mchale needs a pat on the back..

But after the season's over, he STILL needs to go..

This team STILL needs a better head coach:)

Lin should be head coach. He's a Harvard grad. Plus he's basketball smart. Like back during linsanity when he ran the system all by himself. Plus he did economics as well so he should be the GM also. Like back at the Knicks when he practically 'discovered' Novak? H should be the president of the club as well, cos you know how everyone loves him. Like back at the Knicks when everyone loved him.
