What game were you watching? Asik and DMo set screens again and again. WAS just did a pretty good job of defending the PnR.

Going by that logic, Dikembe Mutombo, Hakeem Olajuwon or Shaq in their prime couldn't have altered the outcome?

A seven footer guarding the paint is a deterrent by itself. Maybe players think twice about forcing it inside with a taller player there?

I really hope the coaches don't start Delfino at 4 in the following games. Our 4 smalls + 1 big starter lineup is being figured out quickly I am afraid. Today's game is kind of like our losing streak, too many 3's.

if you're around them, and have them hooked, none of those 3 could have altered it, it would come down to the help defender.

In that situation, replacing Asik with Hakeem or Dikembe would have altered it, Shaq? lol

Yes, because missed shots and not out of control passes lead to turnovers....

cmon guys, i know no one is happy about losing to the wizards but it was a schedule loss...the delfino thing was bad but 3 games in 4 nights plus second half of an away b2b i think was the main factor...our guys died down the stretch...plus weve played without 3 rotation players for those games...mchale isnt phil jackson but he doesnt deserve the blame for this one

LOL called it. I know guys are gonna focus about last plays or matchups or whatnot...but this isn't the first time we fought and against the Wiz, and we smacked them previously. The Wiz team are a mess, and despite getting Wall/Beal they still lack that franchise guy to build their team around.

The difference is stamina, Parsons/Harden were fatigued from playing 3 games in 4 nights and couldn't make up for Lin's horrible night. If Harden and Parsons were fresh you can bet this wouldn't have happened, Ariza would have to guard Harden so Parsons would rip Beal apart.

Maybe this is the logic behind getting Franciso at the expense of TD. Beverly at this point gives you everything TD did offensively, and having another perimeter guy who could play SG/SF/Small Ball PF like Parsons/Delfino could allow Harden/Parsons to get more rest.

Mchale stated he would rather have 29 points and 9 turnovers. What player in his right mind would rather have 29 points and 9 turnovers?

Its the dumbest statement from a coach which could only demoralize a player.

Seriously, do Morey also need to trade Delfino away so that McHale would use the young bigs more?

Not just stamina, Parson is playing through an ankle injury and Lin was sick so he only played 26min. Harden still a beast but definitely fatigued out (made some mistakes down the stretch) and have played 43+min since the trade.

Personally, I was fine with the move. We needed some offense from the PF position that Smith couldn't provide. Starting Delfino was a way to get Nene to guard the perimeter and not clog the lanes. It would have been the role of Patterson and Morris, and McHale probably wanted to keep things consistent after the trade.

You might argue why not start D-Mo then. His outside shot isn't as consistent as Delfino, and he is still too raw to get the starting nod. I like that McHale didn't try to force the issue and start him when he isn't ready. That said, I expect D-Mo's minutes to continue to rise.

Plus, starting Delfino had the advantage of keeping our young PFs from picking up fouls early in the game. With our thin PF rotation, it would have been an issue. However, the plan backfired when Smith went out with the injury.

Just keep tweeting Morey about the poor rotation Mchale does until he gets it. I tweet Morey how bad the Rotation is with Mchale everyday, especially last night, I tweet him about how bad we were with Delfino playing Power Forward. I told him we need real Power Forwards to play the starting position. I won't stop tweeting that until he gets it. You guys should do the same. Spread the word!

Is there a team in the league who could have won those 3 games in 4 nights after having 55 minutes ripped out of their rotation? I cannot think of one.
