She didn't list herself as Native American in her application to Harvard. You are attributing actions to her of which she never did.
If she didn't use it to get a position, why is that a bigger deal than her record at her jobs? Why aren't her positions, her track record of following through with pledges, ability work and her policy positions more important? It might be important if it would prevent her from doing any part of the job she's seeking. It won't at all. But let's say she's guilty of everything she has been accused of in this thread. IF that were true, she would still be 48,597 times less of a fraud than the person she would be running against, so again, it wouldn't be important. Either way, it is only important to people who wish to selectively focus on trivial things for only some people.
She‘s using the term “not part of a tribe” as if she still is not admitting that she has no Native American heritage. b**** be cra cra.
j i agree with this. I would love to see the numbers because it certainly doesn't seem like U of H would be a gateway to Harvard law. (No insult to U of H.)
She should honestly use this bad press opportunity to gracefully exit stage left. Elizabeth Warren is smart. She has been a great bulldog on the financial services industry. But she has always been, like, the annoying aunt in the family, the one that gets crazy eye and won't shut up at Thanksgiving about her new juice cleanse or whatever. On a basic animal level (so important, so overrated), I don't think she was ever going to get the votes needed in a national campaign. EDIT: BTW, on this "instagram is teh evul librulz!" conspiracy, whatever she posted just tripped some algorithm, folks. Don't go crazy pants on this. I don't think Zuck is a big fan of Warren's. LOL. Think.
Come over to the GARM game thread for a while where we are all having fun. Love is everywhere when we are playing well.
but but but the libs have a massive conspiracy!!!!!! All of you libs are sheeple and don't realize libs and media and the poor all are ruled bu Antifa and hate-filled BLM and the media (did I say media) and climate scientists all in an effort to make money and steal it from poor oil companies.
As my posts in the past have indicated, I was never considering Warren for the presidency anyway, so her mistakes in the past are not effecting me as a voter. At one point I thought the "family members had said we were Native American so..." explanation was given, but perhaps I am mis-remembering or it was just suggested (as it just was). But in case, agree with B-Bob and think she should just (as gracefully as possible) fade to the sidelines. And while the trump supporters here can enjoy their "trump was right, she was "faucahontas" I will remind them (1) the guy they support lies all the time and (2) the attacks they made on her for partisan reasons were also offensive to Native Americans. Not that y'all care.
yup - even without the fake native american claims, blue-collar middle america was never going to vote for her and without them the democrats arent going to reclaim the presidency. i like a lot of what she says and her positions, but i do find her to be a bit shrill. i realize its very superficial, but that doesnt mean its not real for me or other voters. she also comes off as artificial - the video where she drinks a beer as a way to relate to the common folk - super cheesy and pandering. its not fair or right, but there are still too many people in this country who will not support a woman no matter what so the line a female candidate has to walk is even narrower than a man with the exact same policy positions/baggage. but for me, this whole cherokee thing is unfortunately a dis-qualifier. it was absolutely douchey of her to claim native american heritage on any official forms or job applications. ill buy that it was part of her "family story", but she surely knew that she shouldnt have been claiming ancestry. my great-granparents are from mexico, but id never claim i was hispanic on a job app or census form. and i would have much more legitimacy if i did than warren does. she will get destroyed by trump over this - if there is one thing he is good at it is hammering his opponent with a childish nickname over-and-over again and making it stick - lyin' ted, little marco, crooked hillary, ect. she needs to realize this and bow out for the good of the party.
Here's the thing about all of the people saying that she would never get the votes. That might be true, but nobody knows. If people who like her policy work and the job she's done looking out for consumers and tackling big banks and businesses would not worry about whether she'd be electable or not she could win. If we looked at who was electable on paper and not actually had the vote, Hillary would be the President right now. As long as people discount capable workers because they are worried other people won't vote for someone, we end up with crap for candidates. Warren was supposed to lose her election to the Senate. She came back and won. It was said she wasn't electable at the time. She staid in the race and she won. Calling someone unelectable is understandable but it isn't always accurate. The problem is that it snowballs. Candidates will lose support if everyone runs around telling everybody they are unelectable. It is better to focus on the issues. Sometimes candidates that were unelectable end up being president of the United States.
Because she's a democrat, and the party as it is right now isn't really interested in any of those things. Cross party sniping is and will always be a thing, but it's not as if the republicans actually have any input into who runs as a democrat.
