Wow, I didn't see the Sony one, but it must have been really bad then because I didn't feel like there was much applause for Nintendo except when they were playing Tennis at the end.
I wasn't really paying that much attention. I think there were more people at the Nintendo conference, not to mention that anytime you see Mario, Zelda, Reggie, etc., on screen, you'll probably get applause (and rightfully so). That said, this was probably a better conference than the Sony one (maybe even if you throw out the price announcement). The first hour or so of the Sony conference was terrible. It only got interesting at about the time Heavenly Sword was shown IMO. So far, Nintendo > Sony. Let's see where MS fits.
One of my clan members just IMmed me asking if there was any update on H3. Of course, the first place I go to is a basketball forum! lol
These trailers are available on XBL (I think): Splinter Cell Fable 2 Crackdown Shadowrun Alan Wake Viva Pinata Forza 2 Gears of War Too Human Halo 3 Here's one site giving updates on the MS conference: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=64375
Wow, hope their servers can handle every XBL user ever logging on to DL the H3 trailer in the next 12 hours.
More than likely, just 360 users. The original XBOX didn't have a friendly interface for easy downloading of content. The 360 does.
Nintendo just has a more focused market plan. Sony and MS are all over the place....Nintendo understands their customers and build to suit them...very smart. DD
He's taking his, er, clothes off. Well, jacket. "Yeah yeah yeah" he syas. He shows his Halo 2 tattoo. "You thought it was fake." Oh god. It's not on his chest, surely. "Some guys do rubber ducks, some guys do tattoos," he jokes. His new one: Grand Theft Auto IV. Okay, wasn't Halo then. Forgive me eh? But hell. October 16th 2007 in North America, October 19th 2007 Europe. GTAIV. "The first date it's available." Wow.
I think Gamespot has the MS conference up now (or the preshow screen anyway). BTW, it sounds like GTAIV content will be exclusive, but the game won't be...or something. That needs to be cleared up later I guess.
relevant text from the g-spot article re: halo: Wow these things get posted fast, a lot of downloading going on... Info and screens from BUNGIE http://www.bungie.net/News/TopStory.aspx?link=Halo3Announcement AND a link to the DL'able trailer, no need for a 360! http://download.microsoft.com/downl...5ea-6ba0f2084d74/h3_e32006_announce_large.wmv Just watched it looks cool, not what we were expecting.
FISHER, Im at work, i want a better description than that! Also, i'm excited about the HD DVD Player. I saw HD DVD and BluRay at CES. if you download any 720p trailers off Xbox live that's the quality you will get. BluRay is slightly nicer if you have a top of the line SXRD Sony TV. But most of the people with HD TV are 1080i .
I'm at work too bud, down load the WMP version from the link above! but anyway, chief, cortana, covenant, crater, explosion....and the Assault Rifle is back. Humanity itself doesn't seem to have fared too well.....
The trailer showed footage of gleeful grunts destroying the Pistol factory and warehouse unfortunately.... Apparently those graphics were real time in engine "We won't ruin the content of our short presentation by describing it frame by frame, but we will note that everything you're seeing here is being rendered in real-time on the Xbox 360, using the current version of our Halo 3 game engine. The HDR lighting, self-shadowing, GPU-run particle system and many other effects should make it intact (and more) to our final game." wow.
Downloading the trailer now. Already got the Lost Planet demo; heard lot of good things. This 'Bring E3 home' thing on Live is really, really cool. Nintendo had a good conference. Stuff just looked fun. Wish they had announced a price.
Well, Sony got Nintendo-wned today. Let's see what Microsoft has to offer... If you guys want a high-res Red Steel trailer, check back in a while. I'll have it uploaded to rapidshare. It's worth it, trust me.
