Eh, well the media will always be biased to some extent. I really don't have a side in the arguement of Morrison vs. Redick but it will be interesting to see which one wins.

They make it seem like Redick is the complete favorite and Morrison is the (better) underdog.

I disagree. Right now, our guards are getting a ton of open looks even w/ TMac out of the lineup. If just one of our guards could shoot consistently, they would no doubt be averaging at least 18+ a game. Yao is demanding the double team which is completely opening up the perimeter, too bad we don't have any shooters what so ever.

The offensive plays are being ran perfectly IMO, Yao is getting doubled, he passes out, they swing it around for the open shot, the only problem is that we can't make any.

I agree about Aldridge, he'd be perfect at PF for us IMO.

Yeah well I was wondering why Rafer and Bogans get so many open looks if JVG is supposed to keep a tight leash on them. But yeah, the problem is we can't hit anything. Can Redick play the D to stay on the court? We'll have to see. Redick isn't supposed to go that high anyways, they say late teens for the draft.

Maybe we could draft Redick and trade him for a SG that has an established defensive game and that can shoot? Just an idea.

    Well... Redick choked bad tonight.

Carney now playing and is wrecking.

It's our loss though... Carney moves up, Redick goes down the draft.

I don't think he choked. You're just seeing the limits of his game. He struggles against teams that have NBA caliber size and athleticism.

In all fairness to J.J., that had to be one of the worst officiated college games I've seen in a while. The officials that it was against Duke and they still teach their players respect. J.J. was pulled, grabbed, pushed, and bumped all night long. No whistle.

I'm by no means an expert at the college game. But i imagine teams would be too busy double and triple teaming Yao and Tmac to give Reddick a second thought. Consider him wide open for at least seven threes a night, making around 5 of them.

He better get used to it, that's probably the treatment he'll get in the NBA. I know Reddick is a SG and Bobby Hurley was a PG, but I see similarities between them as far as great college careers and possibly a lousy NBA career for Reddick just like Hurley.

    1st Pick Prospects.

    Adam Morrison
NBA ready starter? Could fill Rockets needs at SG.
Most hyped player in the draft and he's white so will very likley be guaranteed a top three pick and out of Rockets range.
Rocks very unlikely to be a lottery team next season so perhaps they should consider trading up?

    Rodney Carney/Ronnie Brewer
Probably the best guys available the Rockets should target with the current pick they will get.

    Tiago Splitter
NBA ready starter? Potential Nene+. Cons: Long term Euro contract with no buyout clause. Will probably pull out of the draft, again.

    2nd Pick Prospects.
    Nick Fazekas
Rebounds, shoots treys. Might get pushed around?

    Brad Newley (SG/SF)
-Scouts from Denver, Atlanta, and Detroit have flown in to see him at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

    LOL!!!

J.J. Was defended well all night by a freshman and choked.

That freshman is probably better than the players he'll see in the NBA so I'm sure Reddick will do fine. I mean he'll have no problem scoring on Kobe, Manu, Ray Allen, Mello, Maggette, Iverson, Hamilton, Bell, Bowen, Carter. OH.... he's going to have to play defense against those guys too. Hmmmm

    No Reddick.

Oh, did you happen to see Gansey play against Texas... you do know we can prolly pick him up in the second.

I'm not a Redick fan, but he wouldn't be seeing that type of defensive attention if he was a Rocket. He'd get plenty of open looks playing with Yao and T-Mac.

Your right, he will get open looks, but those are the guys he will be playing against on both ends of the court not some LSU freshman.

All I have to say about Reddick is that he is a great shooter but it won't be enough in the NBA and I don't think he is worth our 1st. If he happened to be around when we pick in the second then by all means get him.

I bet Morrison waits another year to enter the draft after tonight.
