I've always believed that the Texans special teams has been the most productive out of offense and defense.

Because we suck in the red zone.

Schaub has a very Vince Young like 4 TD to 7 INT on the season.

Why? You're still within a field goal whether you make the extra point or miss the conversion. Instead of being down one, you're down two, but you still need a field. The only situation I can see where going for a two-point conversion and failing would come back to haunt you is if the Dolphins score another touchdown and somehow miss the extra point. That's not likely to happen so why not go for the tie instead of play it safe.

Our tackling looks better today. They're actually wrapping people up.

You never, ever go for two until its absolutely necessary.

Too many things can happen between now and then.

I seriously wonder what Kubiak is thinking at certain points in the game.

    We suck at situational football.

The only time our DTs generate a pass rush is when the dolphins run a screen, and that's by design. =(

If the touchdown they scored brought them to within nine, then yes I agree; get the extra point and keep it essentially a one possession game. But when the difference is one or two points, then go for it. And I've seen teams do that a number of times.

Ask any head coach, take the points until you need to chance it.

I don't think I've ever seen an NFL team go for 2 if it wasn't the 4th quarter or late in the 3rd. It may have happened, but I've never seen it.

And there are plenty of teams that go for the two-point conversation...and it's not late in the game either.

In any case, I'm not really bashing Kubiak for doing that...both decisions come with their risks and rewards. But I would like to see him take a chance like that every now and then.
