He had like 380 yards passing. Granted he ruined it with the couple of picks, but he did throw for a TD and rush for one as well. I'm certainly kicking myself for not starting him over Brett Favre today.
yea .. . but is sounds like such a low expectation Still in Sage's corner. . . his day will come Rocket River
he showed alot of poise......he could have easily crumbled. he needs a ton of work, no doubt, but one thing he showed, that I wasn't sure he had.....GUTS. now just get him some brains, and he might be a pretty sweet QB one day.
Andre Johnson was amazing today besides the fumble. He was the true hero... the catch he made in the 4th was
Schaub threw for a lot of yards but could have easily had 5 picks. Still, he was better then Rosenpsycho by simply not completely crumbling down the stretch. AJ was the player of the game. That catch he made on the last drive was all him.
BTW, you can't run a conversion back in the NFL. People keep claiming they wanted the Texans to kneel on the 2 pt. conversion. It's not necessary since the D can't score on it in the pros, just in college. Regardless, big win for Houston. I'm happy for them. They deserved to get off the schneid!
i honestly thought we were done at 4th and 10... but man.. no guts no glory right? good job texans, good job
Sorry for whoever I piss off with this statement but Schaub just strikes me as a puzzy. I see a timid QB every time he is out there. Even Carr had more balls than him. I hope he proves me wrong.
You're right. I'm just telling it how I see it. On the other hand, Rosenpsycho is on the other end of the spectrum. He is too wild and hardheaded. If we could somehow morph these two guys into one QB, that would be sweet.
Meanwhile, Reggie Bush is approaching under 3 yards per carry. Another crappy rushing game for him next week and he might get there. He just isn't an NFL running back. He's a gimmicky player that was best suited for college football. Mario Williams was the right choice.
Some of you sound downright sad we won this game. Sage is a good player to have, and I am glad he is a Texan. He had a shot and blew it, but I still think he is a capable QB. There's no mistake he messed up. It is what it is. But the end is a good example of how things can go. That's what the good teams do, as opposed to what - well, the Texans - usually do. Either implode or make the clutch play at the end when the pressure is on and things are on the line. There's a difference. In any case, good to finally get a win and here's hoping it helps us start to get back on track.
I can't believe we actually won. Hell of a grab by Andre to save the game on 4th down. This team has been in it at the end for the last 4 games, hopefully this gives them some confidence now to finish games.
