i agree with him too. green could have ended tj's career with that cheap shot low blind block to the legs.

    instead he probably ended his.

maybe a 4th post to tell us how you feel about tj? get over it. green had no business trying to pull that off. you want to go blind side, be a man and go high like the block of faggins seconds earlier.

I missed the hit, but from what I've heard about it, that cannot excuse this level of douchebaggery from Travis Johnson.

I don't care what kind of shot Green put on TJ, he turned what should have been a 25 yard loss to mid-field into putting the Dolphins back into scoring position (in which they did score).

Was it a cheapshot by Green? Probably...but you let the refs handle that, no excuse for giving your opponent 15 yards for taunting after a play.

In hindsight, it was a bonehead move. It was only taunting because Green was knocked out. Had Green gotten up and TJ got in his face, I doubt they would have thrown a flag. TJ didn't know Green was out until it was too late. No excuse, but in the heat of the moment, I'd have probably done the same thing.

We won, the play didn't cost us the game, lets move on.

Don't taunt next time TJ; I don't care if Trent did try to go Willis Mcgahee all over your knees.

It won't rank up there as the most classy move ever but TJ had every right to be pissed, Green tried to cut his legs in a blindside cut block and actually violently upended a 300 pound man, could have seriously hurt him.

Green's block was just as classless as the taunt but noone ever blew out a knee while being taunted.

I hope he is ok and I'm sure TJ does as well.

Well said! I wont be surprised if the media portrays Travis Johnson as some heartless thug but you really can't blame him for letting his emotions fly in the heat of the moment. Green's attempted chop block, came at TJ's knee from a sideways blind angle while he was running full speed in pursuit. A hit like that could have easily destroyed his knee instead it was Green who got hurt. Johnson, who has had a dissapointing career thus far, is finally playing somewhat solid football and I can imagine how furious he was when he got hit with a potential season ending cheap shot by the Quarterback of all people. Its unfortunate that Green got hurt on that play and I wish him the best but I feel TJ didnt realize the severity of his injury and just let his emotions get the best of him

Yeah, I'm sure a quarterback who has basically zero experience making open field blocks and tackles saw TJ coming and tried to block him illegally. The more logical thing would be that he saw a defender coming and tried to get in his way however he could. You think he tried to throw his head in front of TJ's knee?

You have one warped sense of karma.

Aren't most taunts & late hits and the like "emotions flying in the heat of the moment"? Are they all OK then?

No, he tried to throw his shoulder at TJ's knees. But as you said, he has zero experience and accidentally got his head bashed in instead.

I honestly thought the flag was for the block from Green. I don't know what the rule is on that but blind side blocks below the waist like that should be illegal. I think TJ had every right to be pissed but it's unfortunate that TJ's reaction came as Green was laying there knocked out. I don't think he would have gotten a flag if it hadn't been a QB laying there honestly. I hope Green's okay.

it was a big time cheap shot by green and it was also stupid for TJ to get the taunting penalty. it easily could have cost us the game even though it was very early. however, if i was in TJ's situation i don't think i could have restrained myself if i got a cheap shot on my knees that could have ended my career. i'm glad green isn't seriously injured but if i saw the guy on the ground who did that to me i would be letting him know he got what he deserved. i'd feel bad later but in the heat of the moment i'd be pissed.

I guess that's why you are posting here instead of running a NFL team.

    LOLOLOL...good one champ!

*EDIT* And I would have never drafted TJ to begin with...so maybe I should run a team.

This is the NFL, man up ladies! Green got taunted for throwing an illegal tackle. Big deal. It sucks he got hurt but TJ was reacting on pure emotion, that block could have had him laying motionless on the floor instead of Green. It's like the guy who brings a knife to a fight but ends up on the floor, beaten worst than everyone else. Sorry but Trent brought it on himself. Karma is a mothaf*cker.

I hope Green comes back 100% but my question is this: It was a broken play and Ginn had no chance of making anything out of said broken play...so why are you going to try and take out (yes TAKE OUT) a 300 lb player by putting yourself UNDER him while he's running with a full head of steam?

It's ignorant for Johnson to taunt Green (ignorant because I'm pretty sure he wasn't aware that Green was out cold) and it's utter stupidity for Johnson to defend his actions/words AFTER the game, but Green shouldn't have made that kind of futile attempt.

TJ should've put that cheating prick in a wheel chair for life - Green deserves it.
