Urquiddy will likely pitch next week vs. Boston. Odorizzi on Saturday. With Garcia continuing to hold his own, they have enough viable starters (barring injury) to rest Lance for 1-2 starts.
I show: Valdez 5/28 Odorizzi 5/29 Greinke 5/30 Garcia 5/31 McCullers will be eligible to come off IL on 6/2 and Urquidy soon, but not yet announced. Last time we needed a fifth starter, we called up Ivey. We need a fifth starter or spot start on 6/1 unless Urquidy is ready and then we have to decide when to bring McCullers back. I saw Urquidy pitched three innings of shutout ball at AA with two hits and two walks, but if he is the plan, he won't get another rehab start.
Yeah. I didn't mention him because his return was scheduled when the SPs for the SD series was announced. In my spreadsheet, he had already returned. I may be a little strange about my spreadsheets.
