Keep all series info in this thread. Remember no play by play in this thread there are other places to get that. Keep discussions focused on the series. Non game discussion go in there own threads. All games are on RSSW unless otherwise noted. 8-21 Brett Anderson, LHP vs. Mike Fiers, RHP 7:10 MLBN 8-22 Zack Greinke, RHP vs. Scott Kazmir, LHP 6:10 8-23 Clayton Kershaw, LHP vs. Lance McCullers, RHP 1:10 on TBS
Anderson is no slouch behind Kershaw/Greinke. Fiers also got lit up the last time he played the Dodgers. However, if our starting pitchers continue the streak of pitching well, I like our chances to win the series. Their bullpen, outside of Jansen, is pretty bad. One positive note is that we have dominated the NL so far. I think our only losses have come to the Giants.
Actually the matchups are not in our favor and yes the bullpen is bad but our hitters are free swinger so greinke and hershaw should go deep in the games.
I'm stoked for this series. We suck against mediocre to bad teams: Oakland, Cleveland, Chicago, Tampa, and Texas (now surging). I wonder what our record is against teams >.500%. This series should be a good test.

This is why I don't like Hinch. Why Marwin is not playing today? Marwin is one of our best hitters vs left handed pitching. The gay makes way too many errors with the lineups. No wonder we lose so many 1 run games? Taking 3 or 4 at bats from a guy hitting lefties has no sense.
Considering this is a team with MIT and NASA scientists on it's payroll and has been very vocal about their use of statistics...do you really think these lineups are put together on a whim?
i could understand those sentiments by crabman if mills or bo were still the managers. hinch has been fantastic. AL manager of the year worthy even though ned has that locked up.
In almost 1700 at bats for his career, Carter is a lifetime .214 hitter. How is Tyler White not starting at 1B yet? Even if he hit .275 that would be such a massive addition to the lineup.
